Plant-e is a company that develops products that can generate electricity from living plants. Based on natural processes electrons are harvested from the soil and electricity is produced while plants keep growing! Too good to be true? See www.plant-e.com for more information

While I think this is incredibly cool, and has a lot of potential, I was a little turned off by the claim in the beginning that people in areas without ready sources of electricity are denied the ability to communicate or participate in global community. After having gone through a Permaculture Design Course with Kenyans, I learned quite a bit about how modernization and what is referred to as 'development' actually can destroy the intimacy of interdependent communities, and take communities out of relationship and sustainable knowledge of their land and resources. Something to think about if ever making a video intended to be a marketing device, and something to think about when wanting to create a technology intended to be marketed globally.

I think a more applicable approach would utilize this methodology as part of a larger multidisciplinary combination, incorporating wind oscillating piezoelectric vanes, conventional solar, and chemical transition energy recapturing (think pH transitions). And many, many more. Utilizing many different ways to generate electricity provides more system reliabity. As an aside, electrode placement involved with this method has another benefit. Sensing real-time soil conditions...

Very wise. Thanks for pointing that out. I think man needs to quit messing with the Earth. Wether it be solar radiation management, chemicals in water, fracking perhaps, etc etc. All of 'this' is from us being 'held' in the dark ages. Nicolas Tesla and much of the older world had free energy- somehow. Scalar/telsa waves perhaps beautiful architecture and building(wht do we get now?), cathedrals, state buildings etc, all have the metal antenna on top,, look into tartaria, world fairs, free energy, lost technology, stuff like that. You may be close already, judging by your intelligent comment. Be well ❣️

Thanks for sharing. I spoke on microbial solar cells this week. One thing I was curious about, with vertical plant-mfc and sediment-mfcs, What is preventing dissolved oxygen from short-circuiting the anodic area. As I understand it, the plants extrude oxygen as well as organic matter through their roots. Is there still some kind of proton exchange membrane in place?

It seems to be some kind of a mud cell battery...just 2 carbon electrodes one closer to the top of the plant and one down at the root and the water and soil is the electrolyte... I will try top experiment with this also but probably the power output is not very high, so you need lots of area to get a higher output this way... Anyway, it is a start...maybe it can be scaled up by using the right plants ??

One last thing, soils themselves are very low amp, low watt generators and batteries. The introduction of particulate, non-toxic capacitive materials could amplify the power generated by this method with a large enough dispersal structure. It would benefit the plant as well; think perlite...

Movement, especially jumping induces electrical current by polarization. The moving things are living. Negative charge moves into the living organism and positive charge is reduced. That shift in polarization sends a neutralized current through the positive side of every particle in the universe. Every electron is connected to the air. The current produced by movement goes into that Earth and out at the other end of totality and exponential increase. Conducting organic current, also invites a surge on the return path. That return surge causes global warming; as the fire ball attempts long distance reentry. Since positive charge goes beyond the negative charge count, in size, there is also a big freeze invite, cooling the earth electrically. Cold magnetism has lightnings and moons; that far precede the actual high current ice ball. Jumping beans are the wave buffer. cJT

Fusion reactors are very clean and a great source of energy but they are extremely dangerous. They could possibly be radioactive since atoms split and join together. They are also very explosive and extremely hard to control. You can't stop/slow them easily like nuclear reactors.
