Plant Ginger Like This! 🌱 Winter Growing Secrets

Hi Jackie, lovely to see you looking so well and rearing to go! As an experiment myself, I planted 2 ginger tubers back in late July early August. They were outside until the weather go cold. One did not develop at all but the other one is nearly 2ft tall. It is in my sunroom for the time being as it like a bit of heat. It wont do very much now until the spring and the warmer weather but as a first time tryer of growing ginger, I am very pleased. I will keep you posted and maybe send you on a photo tomorrow. Hi Jackie. I grow Casablanca. This is my third year using my saved bulbs. It isn’t tremendously large but I find it crops well and keeps quite well too considering that it is hard neck. Good luck getting yours in. I don’t think we have had it as wet as you have but it is chucking it down today 🥴. Take care. Mags 🌻

Hi Mags, I saved all of the elephant garlic from last year so should have a lot of them. I will try the Casablanca for next year. How are you enjoying your new place btw it’s gorgeous !
