We have stinging nettle here in Michigan and it is best known for causing pain for all those that brush up against it. We use Golden Rod that grows next to it to relieve the sting. Tell me please how do you eat it?

Sunchokes come back every year and are good to eat. they do tend to take over, but as the tubers are edible and taste good, that not a problem.

You are so beautiful and lucky.❤🌺 I don't have a garden and the winters are sooo long here in Eastern Europa.. we use the balcony to grow some tomatoes, peppers and herbs but that's all. My dream is to have a garden full of edible plants one day. :) I'd love too see some more indoor plants you have (like the marimos). :)

People here in the Philippines don't eat Cuban oregano. Do they do use it as cough remedy though. What dishes do they go well with? The only local food I knew it's added in is a certain town's speciality sausage.
@wendiland
@wendiland Жыл бұрын
Sounds like sausage has very distinctive flavor. U can use it to add to anything. We mainly use it in beans and sometimes soups. Super tasty as cough remedy with honey! :)

Hi Wendi - I live in SE Asia. Could you recommend some appropriate edible plants that grow well in this climate - hot and wet.
@wendiland
@wendiland 6 жыл бұрын
That’s awesome! New video of farm tour in SE Asia is coming soon so you can see what grows well there! Most of the edibles on my channel consist of SE Asian vegetable and herbs. They grow well during warm season in most of US, but will grow year round for you. :)

The perennial Spearmint. Can't imagine harvest time without it being steamed with new potatoes. Our house comes alive with the aromatic smell. If left alone it multiplies every year taking over your garden. Not resistant to lawnmowers. (Seriously_ that is another story.LOL.
