Very informative! There seems to be a widespread obsession with protein…to the extent that some studies have concluded that many people consume more than ideal. You make a great point to focus on eating a variety of whole foods vs counting micronutrients. Thank you 🙏

According to Dr. Peter Attia and Dr. Rhonda Patrick : 0.8 g per body weight is an outdated policy. 1 g per body weight is not enough for an omnivore. 1.2 g would be better. At least, 1.6 g for a very active omnivore. I guess 2 g target for a non very active vegan would do but you still have to pay attention to the quantity of amino acids (leucine, methionine and lysine in particular). Don’t take my word for it : Peter Attia has an excellent podcast about protein and the difference between plant based and animal protein.

She said that "It's easy" to eat 4.6Kg of onions...daily. Or 1.6Kg of Brown Rice.
