When my 19 yr old daughter went vegan i was alarmed and worried for her. I gave her the "you need protein" argument and "but we're omnivores" argument. Then i decided to really research Veganism so that i could talk her out of this lifestyle using facts and science. Well it didn't work out the way I envisioned it would. It's been 3yrs and she's still Vegan...but now so is her 55yr old Dad.! Best decision I ever made. My health (weight/cholesterol) has dramatically improved as a result. My daughter mayve saved my life through her quiet yet firm insistence on being a vegan.

will be turning 65 this month. For the past several months I have not been able to straighten up when I get out of bed. It was difficult to get dressed and put my shoes on. It lasted for about 30 minutes after walking. I tried a new mattress, a memory foam pad, stretches and exercise with no improvement. I figured this was how it was going to be and I was getting really depressed. After 4 days on a vegan diet, I realized one morning that the pain and stiffness was gone. Really! I could not believe it. It sold me on it. I am so impressed with these young people on you tube that have come up with ingenious vegan recipes that are delish. Hats off to these young people for learning excellent eating habits at such a young age.

Eber Vazquez Oh wow!! Good for you. Keep going!! I found the initial drop in weight was big too, but I think for me it was mostly from simply going to the washroom so much. BTW. Make sure you take a table spoon of ground flax a day for your omega3's. Flax has the highest concentration of omega3's on the planet. And supplement your b12. Vegans that don't take in extra omega3's have high omega6 to omeg3 ratio because omega6 fats are more prevalent in processed/prepared/modern foods. High omega6 and low b12 is the reason why some vegans get heart disease just like meat eaters. Omega3 and b12 reduce blood vessel inflamation and damage. If you take flax and B12 while on a healthy vegan diet, you'll live till your 90/100.

I love my plant based diet. Ive been vegan for over a year now, im a 20 year old female that battled severe acne, i went to the dermatologist for many years and was prescribed retinol, pills, cleansers and a few more things. While the retinol worked, it made me skin dry and it was very expensive, and if i ran out my skin would break out even worse than it did before. I quit it cold turkey after going plant based and got one or two zits, then suddenly none ANYWHERE on my body. When people argue that a plant based diet does not solve their acne by saying their acne is hormonal, they need to realize that my acne was 100% hormonal as well! In fact, i had recurring ovarian cysts that would grow on my fallopian tube since i was 16. GONE. Dairy is loaded with hormones because it is meant for CALVES!!! no other species should be consuming another species milk, its not healthy. Please, if you struggle with acne, psoriasis, any skin condition, hormonal imbalance, PLEASE give up animal products
@maddieelfiky69748 жыл бұрын
Give up all dairy and meat products. Not some, ALL, and you will reap the benefits. I feel amazing and i look amazing. I love my body now and i feel confident. My husband and I decided to become vegetarians 15 years ago after I was diagnosed with MS. I recovered. But after Covid, we suffered all sorts of sequels so we became vegans on February 2022. We feel great! Our 28 yo daughter is a vegan too and we see how her emotional condition changed too. Of course only being vegan isn't enough. We don't consume any processed foods znd sugar. We practice yoga and take cold showers. We stay away from the news and any source of negativity. My husband is a doctor. I studied nutrition and psychology. Our patients who became vegan improved their health significantly. 20 years ago all i was eating was meat. I was a reactive negative person. Now I look back and feel like it wasn't me. I wish everyone to became vegan but I understand that each person has to come to this decision when he/she's ready.

+Ronnie & Minh You're good people. I find it difficult to get behind something that has so many extremists involved in it. Don't get me wrong, the passion most of them have is incredible, but when someone is in my face telling me I'm wrong for some way that I live my life then all it does is cause me to distance myself from that way of life further. People that are supportive and understanding of different walks of life and different phases in life (such as yourself) are the only reason I even consider following a different lifestyle such as a plant based diet. So thank you very much for having an agreeable temperament! May you always find what you're searching for in life. Have a nice day! :)

Before that I made a comment similar to this one and knowing better now I feel ashamed of how majestically ignorant I was. Research my friend. Read books and watch videos. Health is not having a nice good looking body. A dear friend of mine 41yo just had a stroke during an Iron man competition 2 months ago and he is alive for a miracle. He did Iron Man competitions for many years but his arteries were badly clogged for his heavily meat and dairy based diet. The irony of it all is that he is also a cardiologist.

Plant-based lifestyle has been lifechanging for me. I lost my very fit father to undiagnosed heart disease on the day he was going to retire at 68 years old. He rode his bike up to the pool to swim his daily laps and lift weights on his lunch break, had a massive heart attack and drowned in the pool. One of his arteries was 95% blocked and another 85% blocked. He was eating a keto style diet. Just before that happened I'd read the China study and changed my own diet overnight. I lost 15 pounds, my depression and headaches went away and I was finally able to sleep through the night. It was too late to save my dad but it's now my life's work to share my story of vitality with others! 11 years later I have stuck with it and still feel amazing!

Plant strong for many years. Awesome!!!! Happy, Healthy, Fit and many other positive things to long to list. My dog is plant strong too, had crippling arthritis and other serious issues when i rescued him. My heart bleed, i made his meals daily, yes, tedious to say the least. My surgeon vet was floored to see him walk normal and pain free happy and healthy. His Glaucoma and digestive system and brain-fog and aggression are all gone. He thankfully also stopes running into things. ( those injuries would cost a lot at the vet) People who met him at the beginning and see him now and experience his disposition are surprised. My fiends are usually already meat free, most dairy and egg free. Now all the dogs are too. No one can know unless they give it minimum 28 days, i like 3 months. Why? Its from the inside out anti aging. And we all want to be sexy, strong and find happiness. I tried it and never looked back. I was brought up on meat and potatoes and milk and eggs. I had so so many issues.

I was meat eater all my life. I took an ethics class at my university and turned first vegetarian and then vegan a couple of years ago. I'm still obese because I still had a too much of a sweet tooth. But still, when the doctor checked me up he couldn't believe how incredibly good all parameters were. Including blood parameters. So there was medical proof for what I felt for all the time, that becoming a vegan was one of the best choices of my life. Now I'm embarked on a journey to lose weight, do more sports and finally going whole food vegan. And it's actually fun. And very successful so far. I never was easily convinced by easy solutions. But it's really this simple: Start a whole food vegan diet and your doctors are going to miss you. And you are going to look better too. While protecting the environment, help poor people in other countries and helping your own countries health system.

Literally, plants are as alive and sentient as animals. There's no ethical argument in favor of eating plants. We also absorb a fraction of the nutrients from plants that we do from animal foods. I spent 10 years vegan, then raw vegan, and wish I could undo those years of malnutrition and abusing my digestive tract. No vegans thrive without loads of processed fake foods and powders and supplements. There's a reason. You can have a sweet tooth and not be obese, but not as a vegan. I speak from experience. First, start weight training, immediately. It changes your metabolism and body composition like nothinfnekse, improves bone density and releases much needed human growth hormone. Second, as the other comment said, drink enough pure clean water daily. Third, at least incorporate fish, eggs and some red meat once weekly or a couple of times per month. Nothing replaces bioavailable heme iron and predigested aminos in animal foods. There's no compassion in harming yourself for a perceived cause. You can also obtain eggs and meat from people who respect animals, are grateful for the sacrifice and treat them well. Native Americans had that innate connection to the animals they killed for food (skins and bones) and utilized every bit of the animal while ritualized their gratitude as a tribe. We have lost that basic instinct. Pray over meals. Whether plant or animal, give thanks to the living, breathing being that gave its life for our sustenance. All life consumes life, top to bottom, even within the mineral kingdom, in the soil. Be sure you are honoring your own needs to your best ability. Ps, have not seen an MD since 2001. No need with proper nutrition, exercise, hydration, rest and fresh air. Keeping stress low is crucial as well, but the aforementioned elements help to do that. As for feeding the poor worldwide, there's a reason places like the Heifer Foundation bring a cow or a goat to poor families, not sacks of beans. Even raw milk alone can help a family thrive like no plant food can. But there's no reason to push away any of the foods we can use to thrive.

As per the Vegan and Vegetarian scientific Research study by experts - Plant based foods should not be Mass produced. Else it adds to all the industrial farming hazards like chemical sprays, fertilizers, deforestation and we then again come back with the same environmental impact. You need organic farming to save the planet, else no point in promoting veganism or vegetarianism or any modern healthy diet. 90% of the plant based food all over the world are Non Organic farming yields.

I loved this so much! I'm 23 and my mother just turned 60 this February. Three years ago she suffered a heart attack and if she didn't get to the hospital when she did, they said if the next one hit her, she would have died. She went through 5 bi-passes, they literally re stringed all of her veins through her body to save her life. She smoked yes, but she also loves coca cola, and would drink it often, pretty much every single day. Ever since then, I've been super into healthy living, and I needed something like this video to encourage my mom ( who grew up in the 50's and 60's) this generation, I believe has THE WORST diet ever out of all the generations, mainly because of bad marketing. I don't know what your mom have but I'm glad she is better. A whole food diet make people healthy, so it's not a need to put your mom in a only-plants diet. There are several dietary approachs to heart disease reversal, for instance. Only plants diets are not recommended in most countries in Europe where the dietary need levels are not only safe but therapeutical. The common calculations to met the EUA standards don't take into account genetic variations and non-genetic. Most people in practice can't convert enough vitamin A, for instance, to achieve optimal levels. I'm talking as an long term ex-vegan that got harmed even being in "safe" levels of nutrient intake, supplementing plenty and having the help of two vegan doctors. Plant-base diets still have holes in it, it's highly experimental, their doctors say this themselves, and as the talker said himself "a century ago heart disease was not even in the map", so the problem is not the animal foods, but processed industrial foods. Elderly people needs more nutrition, so you can choose a whole foods diet that have more of the good ones, like mediterranea.
