Plant Tour 2021🌿 Houseplants In My 600 Square Foot Apartment

Here's my 2021 summer houseplant tour! I have a super small apartment (a one-bedroom apartment!!) so I try to fit all the indoor plants in here as possible. They are all low-light tolerant and low maintenance, perfect indoor plants for any beginner.

Thank you! That pot is actually a mug that I found at target! I just turn the handle to the back so it looks like a pot, but I find that making pots from everyday things is more fun:)

All of your plants look healthy 👍 I know it's a lot of work but it is fun watching them grow 🌱 I have the same hoya and pothos n'joy ( whatever it's called! ) Would like a fiddle leaf fig but don't know if I am up to the challenge with so much going on with me right now. The crispiness on the maculata is from lack of humidity. Mine does the same thing. Btw that Burle Marx is beautiful as well as your whole collection. 🪴

I actually found out that there was a wrap around the roots of that begonia! I think that was causing a lot of the issues (because I keep quite a high humidity) thanks!!

Cool video thanks for sharing. In regards to your watermelon peperomia if it's still struggling with leaves you aren't happy with try hard boiling some eggs & save the water for watering your plant, these dudes love a bit of extra calcium 🙂

I'm pretty sure your watermelon peperomia needs more light. Mine is in an unusually bright northwest window with lots of reflection from a light-colored house next door. It gets about an hour of low sunlight at the end of the day. It is more thrifty (full and relatively short-stemmed) than yours. I am a new subscriber. Good luck with your videos.

Crispy bits on a maculata are from lack of humidity in my experience! Mine is in a southern-facing window, but gets 60-70% humidity, which really helped with the crispy tips.

Hello I am a new viewer I enjoyed your video, I have a moonlight plant how do you care for it I have one but the leaves curl and do not have roots I put it in water to get roots but didn’t so I put rooting powder to get it to root what window is best for it and soil. Thanks.

Hi! Usually when the leaves curl it means that the plant is thirsty. However, if the soil is wet and the leaves are still curled I would check the roots to see if they’ve rotted at all. For the water propagations, it just takes time! Sometimes they don’t root very quickly at all!

I use a humidifier around all my plants! The humidity inside my home typically sits around 60-70%. Depending on how long you’ve had your maranta the leaves could get bigger naturally over time but it really depends

Thank you! I’m not super great about fertilizer if I’m honest haha I’ve just been using the all purpose liquid plant food from miracle grow. But I’m not sure if I could tell a difference with how healthy me plants were so this isn’t necessarily a recommendation. I’ll be trying some other fertilizers soon to test how much I like them and then make a full video about it!
