I just stumbled on this guys channel, he replied to one of my comments and this guy is for real! Very recent, he is over 500lb's trying to change, he's recording youtube video's of his process but as of this month, February 2019 he's still over 500lbs on a keto diet and I'm trying to convince him to reach out to some of the Vegan MD's you have on your show. I thought I would relay his progress to you incase you have any outreach with those doctors because I think they can save this mans life and he would just be an incredible roll model and hero for others and his family if he succeeds!

@@misakistalker I don't have any of these diseases but that's what I am planning to go for. Gluten-free for a start then maybe introducing barley (not flours) and farro and see how that goes. Wheat is inflammatory and addictive. All of these autoimmune diseases are linked to inflammation. And i don't want to have any sorts of cravings. I was addicted to pasta for years. whole-grain, refined ,for me it's the same shit. I don't think it's a coïncidence that there is a fast-growing disease caused by wheat consumption.

After joining the Vegan cult people continue to deteriorate, not only physically but also mentally, more and more as time goes on due to malnutrition and brain shrinkage, so it's not surprising they get more and more extreme. Also because some people are so deeply fooled and indoctrinated by the Vegan cult propaganda, as they inevitable decline and suffer other physical consequences such as digestive issues, they are more inclined to try to "cleanse" and fast in an attempt to fix all the issues they develop from Vegan malnutrition and since they are so brainwashed they keep trying more and more extreme things instead of just snapping out of it, leaving the Vegan cult behind and nourishing and healing themselves with real food again.

@@folksurvival I do agree that a lot of vegans act cultish and jump on every fad diet trend without doing proper research before hand and therefore giving veganism a bad name. For me personally, I do believe that you can thrive on a vegan diet, from doing a lot of research and trying it for myself, however it might be difficult at times to find all the supplies you need. Will I stay vegan forever? I would love to. Will I? idk yet.. but even if I'd go back to having meat occasionally, I definitely would never go back to eating meat and dairy 3 times a day. cheers

People spend decades getting sick but expect the treatment to be an instant cure - whether pill, diet, fasting - but healing takes time! We can't go vegan for a week or month or even year and expect a miracle. Yes many people have that experience but everyone's biology is different. And when healing, there is often a period of detox where the body feels safe enough to deal with a bunch of garbage from the past, and that healing process almost always feels worse that when you started.
@agingintobeauty

@jacob shears When the body is in a state of dis-ease or imbalance and is suffering one strives to end suffering by attaining a state of balance by reaching optimal biological functions... If you're doing it for the animals, I have bad news for you. Guess how many animals die in soy fields to make vegan products for you to consume. They kill the mice, rats, squirrels, possums, skunks, bunny rabbits, birds, gophers, snakes, turtles, literally ALL the animals in that field when they plow them. Then they continue to kill any and all animals that would go into those fields to keep your soy beans from being contaminated or consumed by them. So hundreds to thousands of animals die all so you can feel morally superior to someone who eats a burger. One cow dies, and feeds several people with pounds of beef turned into burgers, steaks, etc.
@gjkoolen
@gjkoolen 4 жыл бұрын
@@Peaceisabeast You are pathetic, or completely misinformed. Did you know that a cow consumes a multitude of corn, etc in order to grow up. Most of the fields are to grow the ANIMALS. So mainly all the poor squirels you describe, die for the COWS, not the vegans. Plant based food is just more practical, and has a smaller ecological footprint. And it is also way more healthy (that's why I eat plant based). Maybe you should try it too..

Thank you for mentioning the need for B12. Almost all the films on the plant-based diet avoid the subject of B12, meaning that the audience is set up for failure if they do not eventually learn about the need for B12. Presentations on animal rights usually avoid the subject of B12 because of motivation to present the PB diet as 100% complete, setting up the audience for failure. This issue of B12 may have tripped up many millions of well-intentioned people who have tried the PB diet, then eventually became debilitated, then returned to eating meat, all because of lack of B12.

What Dr. Fuhrman says makes a ton of sense. 1) We need fat in the diet. This could be why those ex-vegans, who add more fat via animal products to their diets, feel better. @@mujinhanfearlessmu9072 Exactly, and that's what the ag industry wants you to be blind to. I used to eat what was considered a very healthy omnivorous diet yet I had Major deficiencies (severe anemia, b12 deficient, d3 deficient, etc.) so blaming a well-planned vegan diet for ill-health is a bit too simplistic. I will say however that many do not have the time to meal prep in order to have a healthy vegan diet. My take on it is that if the general population cut out beef and diary, ate very limited eggs and fish, and ate a diet filled mostly (>90%) with nutrient-dense plant foods (rainbow diet-carrots, sweet potatoes, dark leafy greens, legumes, sea veggies, etc.), we'd all be better off. It's not the stomach contents of plants that are avoided, but the acid in the stomach. Other accounts are from zoos, but in zoos the animals just don't eat or do what is completely natural to them. I have an article that speaks about partial prey consumption, but it mentions nothing about the predator leaving out a certain edible part. It can be any edible part of the animal that is left, due to varying reasons. Nothing about always leaving the intestinal contents, or anything like that. I don't think there's been a purely vegan society in the world until recently, even the closest ape relatives eat insects, worms & small amounts of meat when they can get it. The oldest living people in the world are not vegan or even vegetarian. I know that doesn't prove anything, but it's something to think about.

The point that all individuals are different in what they require is a harsh reality in this matter. Its unfortunate but true. We are not one sized fits all. I have never participated in lamb or pork consumption for the most part. Red meat once a week, good amount of dairy. Mostly poultry and some fish. I've given up dairy and red meat because I don't need it. I do not know how I will eliminate poultry and eggs. I have to take it in increments.

He is so up front and honest about the whole vegan situation. Im so happy about his transparency and actually being thorough instead of making out its greatness without addressing the issues. So when the interviewer said he was overcomplicating things therefore scaring off newbies, i got annoyed. You have to be humble about the reality of veganism and have all the facts or your no better off from a health point of view than a meat eater. He was trying to purport a reductionist view of veganism just to get people on board. You cant pull the wool (or other non animal based covering) over peoples eyes just to rally them to your side.

The thing is, no one obviously knows what humans "should eat". Just look at general statistics in health in the early 1940's. Cavities were an oddity, cancer was as rare as gold, and type 2 diabetes didn't even exist, as far as anyone knee then you only had diabetes if you were born that way. So let's start in the early 40's, early 30's even you can see the difference in the world health to the 40's because of the invention of refined sugar in the mid 30's. But the early 40's is when the the governments of the world decided to come out with food guides and telling people what they should and shouldn't eat. So if you look at any health chart from anywhere in the world starting in the 40's to know, the minute someone in some government started telling people what's good for them, well any chart will show a steep incline in every modern deseases, mainly autoimmune deseases and weird allergies. Things that people didn't even get prior to that. You can even read papers from the world dental association, they thought there was some new mouth bacteria that was causing cavities and tooth loss, turns out 7 years later a dentist made th connection in taxas to the recent invention of refined sugar. If you look at hard numbers, fuck studies, they are worthless at this point since there are no consequences for straight up making bullshit and pandering it as valuable information. Hard numbers don't lie, the day anyone told anyone what they should and shouldn't eat, is the day the charts starting racing up along with every modern deseases, %64 of Canadians are obese, and they are behind us as the fastest country. I'm pretty disgusted with people when I go out, so sick of looking at guys with moons flopping around, women with love handles that they tuck into their socks, it's fucking disgusting, but if you ask any of them I'm sure they are following someone's fucked up advice. Like humans existed for nearly 200,000 years, a good portion of that in the ice age. That's hard packed dozen dirt, where was the vegetation then? You think grabbing a rock digging in the snow for hours to get a root you probably can't cook. So humans had it all wrong before 80 years ago? Turns out that you need 100 types of vegetables, beans, nuts, oh and supplements. How does this make any fucking sense, I love to hear just one vision of how this would have played out then, just one, because trying to find even one of those things on the snow is a lost cause, let a lone harvest and cook it, at that time a human needed 4000 Calorie to survive the cold, you were most definitely not getting 4000 calories from plants in an ice age, it's fucking ridiculous, some humans, depending on where they were, lived in those conditions for over 40k years. The first piece of plastic we made hasnt event begun to bio degrade yet, refined sugar hasn't even hit it's 100th birthday yet. But ya, keep listening to the "docs" and ignore the fact when you go out everyone is so sick and fat looking, and the tell yourself you know what they don't, so even if you look like them, soon you won't because your following a KZbin "Dr", mmmmmm hmmmmmm. It's the perfect logic of today's world, mindless sheeples looking for the next thing to be told, what to ear, what's right and what's wrong, what good your worship, or none, people were worried about AI, people are already essentially functional AI with many flaws, people are sheep, but are quick to compromise even their own values, so even if your u indoctrinate them into some ideology, there is nothing stopping them from taking that ideology that was shit to begin with, and make it even worse.

I think there is a lot of good info here, excellent interview. Thanks for this interview. I think high-density nutrition foods should be added to the diet as a must. High starch foods are really important for athletes to maintain good weight. I fuel my base on starchy foods but hit the beans and greens, berries, allium foods hard for health. I don't do many nuts or like nuts because I would eat peanut butter and dark chocolate and my cholesterol went up. I still need to see the evidence that things like peanut butter and almonds can reduce cholesterol in people who have a family history of high cholesterol and heart disease. Are we missing something and is Essylten MD very wrong about nuts? I cut out dark chocolate because of the two types of saturated fat in it that raise cholesterol production. What is the real truth about nuts with people at risk for heart disease?

The Natural Health Blogger Mcdougall isn’t saying to eat 10 bowls of white rice or even promoting it, the only thing he has said is that it isn’t a deal breaker in his diet. The whole point of the kempner diet was extremely low protein and sodium, I believe because it was initially used for people with severely compromised kidney function. The problem with drawing broad conclusions is that people have lived in various amounts of fat the diet throughout history and seemed to be successful. I wouldn’t dismiss people’s complaints about problems with a low fat diet, but I have also heard similar complaints about a keto diet, specifically losing periods which seems strange considering its the opposite of a low fat diet. At the end of the day I think the only way any diet will work is if someone can actually stay on it. I find Fuhrman’s approach of tons of raw vegetables with nuts and seeds as well as little starchy foods beyond legumes to not be very doable (to me) even if it is the most healthy diet.

As human beings our bodies are all different. To say that one diet can suit all of mankind is unrealistic. We are born with different genes, different gut biomes, and different food cultures. What works for each invidivual will be different. It is important that we take stock of this. Someone leaving the vegan community doesn't mean that they got it wrong or that the vegan community is wrong. It simply means it didn't work for that individual. The more we try and find flaws and criticise others the more it suggests we don't quite trust ourselves and so must scramble to validate our own way of life. If we are confident that we are making the right decisions we should stand firm in that, and leave others to their own lives.

None of the doctors are opposed to seeds, even Dr. Esselstyn, who just says to not eat handfuls of them. Dr. Esselstyn also is very clear that his opposition to nuts (for his heart disease patients) is that it is extremely difficult to just eat a few. Jeff Nelson says this too. I typically don't get involved in these types of discussions because it's like a religious argument. There will most likely never be agreement amongst the various followers of the various religions. At this point in time, the scientific consensus is that plant-based foods promote optimal health for the majority of people. No that doesn't mean that we are all going to be able to eat the exact same foods and thrive. I would suggest to everyone that you seek out a primary healthcare professional that you trust to work with. Get assessed to understand what your current state of health is and then work together with professionals (not You Tubers) to optimize your overall health and most importantly, happiness. Make tweaks to your diet, exercise (physical and mental), sleep, spiritual practices, and personal relationships. Measure the effects along the way, keep the good and throw away the bad. I eat what is best for me, I don't do it because a person on KZbin recommended it or changed diets for the third time. I do it because it is the best approach to diet for me and my body. I have my own spiritual beliefs that work for me. I keep physically active in a way that works for me. What works best for you, is the "right lifestyle".

I was vegan and I was always tired, low blood pressure, heartbeat under 60 and sometimes under 50. I ate brown rice, soy yogurt, tofu, seitan, almonds, alghae, legumes and fruits. In 2019 I changed and no more problems. Now I eat meat, fish, eggs, vegetables and a small fruit a day. I fill strong and no more disease. Never I would go back to vegan diet.

I know that adding Almondmilk & Coconut milk based yogurts with probiotic live cultures to an otherwise well balanced vegan diet with a K2, DHA, EPA, B12, & D2 supplement has made what was already fairly good digestion, just a little bit better, and strictly limiting fats to 30 grams a day as part of this routine has meant my skin is the best I can recall it being since I was a young child.

Vegan suppliments, it's incredble. What ever happened to real food. What vegans seem to have forgotten is that the brain is sixty percent fat and twenty percent cholesterol. We're animals, we're made of meat and vegan doctors keep tying to pretend we're flowers.
