Wow, thanks so much. Your comments are really encouraging to continue these videos. I hadn't taken a "real" video before I started this channel a month ago. I started this journey to document my planted tanks as they evolve and change so fast, and photos alone didn't capture them.

Beautiful tank. Love the Cory’s too!

Thank you! They are duplicareous corys. I really like the color pattern with the orangey-yellow spot on their heads.

Thank you Charles! Very soothing video to watch! It’s so cool how much clearer the water gets the day after too! Where do you source your plants from? At a local store or do you have them shipped in? Everything is so green and pretty so just curious 🤩

Hey there! I always try to buy my plants (and fish) from locally owned fish stores. I have three great options within a 45 min drive (and yes I will drive that far for my fish, lol). I have also found some nice Amazon swords and larger Anubias in store at Petsmart. Petco online has better variety than in store, like bucephalandra. When I am looking for something rarer, I turn to Ebay, I really like "yourfishstuff". Hope that helps. You always have such nice comments for me!

Dear Aqua(scaping) Man, I watched this video with great fervor. Recently, maintaining my planted aquarium seems like an uphill battle. I often have challenges balancing the nutrients, including nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. Further, I experience constant fluctuations in my water quality, especially with the pH levels and hardness. Do you have any sense of the root causes of these issues? Tanks in advance for any guidance you can provide.

An aquarium can sometimes be a challenge to start up. We have all been there. Once it becomes established, it will settle down. There could be many reasons for your struggle, so hard to exactly diagnosis, but here are a few options to keep in mind. Keep as many plants as possible, they help maintain your water quality overall. Do frequent waters changes, keep it to only 10-15% of volume at a time. Check that your stones are not changing your water conditions. Seiryu stone is a known to raise ph (requires frequent water changes). Most folks agree dragon stone is a good inert rock to work with. Don't overstock your tank. In general, the larger the tank, the easier it is to keep the water parameters in balance. You will get there!

Great video! Is this a low tech setup?
@FishLoft2 күн бұрын
Thank you! Yes, I only keep low-tech aquariums. I can't imagine the trimming required for a CO2! I think CO2 would be great if you only have one tank.

How long does it take you to clean all your tanks?
@FishLoft2 күн бұрын
I have quite a few tanks, so I spend 30 mins a day topping off the water and cleaning algae just to keep up. Then once a month I take a few hours to to do more deeper maintenance, cleaning filters and trimming plants. Some of my tanks need very little maintenance, and some need more. Thanks for watching!

Thats it! I´m unsubscribing your channel. Bro stop copying me! Lool😂Now for real, the few differences are that i currently dont have hair algae (thank God), i dont gravel vac and most times i just use tap water at room temperature. Ho, and usualy i prefer the silence insted of music or podcasts. Nice video, keep it up. Take care.

Ha! My tap water is too toxic for my fish...lol! I have to condition it. I go through phases...constantly listening to music, then podcasts, then I just a period of silence. Good to hear from you!
