Planting a Bloodgood Japanese Maple

This was an anticipated arrival. We have been wanting this tree for quite some time. Someone also gave us a Red Maple Sapling.

Mulch shouldn't go up against the trunk. Also, root ball should be exposed on top so it can breathe.

How's the maple tree doing?

Healthy. I keep it watered regularly. It sits under our Red Birch so its in dappled light. It get a full dose of morning sun.
