Laura just wanted to thank you for doing what you do. You have become a favorite part of my morning routine. You gave me the push I needed to start gardening. A lot of the stuff I buy is Proven Winners because I found that the additional cost is justified by better performance. Writing this to make sure that you know that you are an inspiration to many and that you are very good at what you do :)

Yesssss!!! Iza I agree 100% with your sentiments about Laura and Proven Winners!! I love gardening! My 88 year old mother loves gardening and it has been so therapeutic for us both. I live in Michigan so we cherish our warm season! 😊 I'm such a fan that I am encouraging others at nurseries to follow you Laura and buy Proven Winners. Blessings to you and your family! Cheers fellow gardeners! ❤

So important to me that you share your thoughts about what to plant, where and why. Your knowledge about plants is very impressive. It seems like you are selecting a much wider variety of plants this year and are adding lots of perennials. Your garden is so beautiful but what a knock out you are creating for the years to come. Thank you to Laura and Aaron and hugs for Benjamin.

I want to thank you very much for introducing me to proven winners! I have now been planting them in my garden for a few years due to you and your videos. But for the first time I’m struggling with a PW plant and sent them pictures via Instagram asking for advice. Within hours they responded with help and questions to help further. I cannot believe such a large company still truly cares about the garden success of individual customers. I’m forever a PW supporter. Very thankful.

I love all her roses and wish I could grow them here. We invented the Minnesota Tip method of preserving non-hardy roses. But burying them in a trench every fall sounds like too much work for me. Then in the spring you have to dig them upright again. Ugh! Nah, I'll plant shrub roses instead.

The Proven Winners page on the product is confusing. At the top (right side) it says Spring / Summer for bloom time but if you scroll down, the details box says Early Summer / Mid Summer. It's not Summer yet and hers are in bloom, so we'll have to see if they're still in bloom through the season. Here's the page: www.provenwinners.com/plants/phlox/opening-act-pink-dot-hybrid-phlox-phlox-hybrid

In addition to teaching all of us about different plants, flowers, shrubs, etc., the real message Laura drove home in this video is how to use annuals to assess the lighting in a bed and using annuals as a space filler until you decide what you want to be more permanent (a perennial) for the future. I also LOVE that smoke bush but of all the plants Laura put into the ground today, I think the brunnera is my favorite. I love forget-me-nots, but forget-me-nots are an aggressively invasive thug. Planting the brunnera gives you the forget-me-not look (in the Spring) but doesn't take over the garden.

Laura love watching your videos. We recently transplanted from southern Tennessee back hone to south San Diego. Big change. I’m seeing so many perennials I loved in Tennessee but I’m back in the desert/tropical so about 20% of what you plant in your videos I can plant here. I’m getting reacquainted with gardening here slowly. Wish you were in my neck of the woods

Jesus Journey like you I bought a house and had to learn how to garden for the first time. I actually was lucky to listened to a lot of podcast and found cheap library books for sale. I’ve found them to be very helpful and actually more environmentally friendly and sustainable in the long run. While this video series is excellent in general, it’s really an infomercial! It’s all about buying plants from Proven Winners. If you like gardening videos, check out gardener’s world by BBC. Unauthorized uploads exist on KZbin. And I believe you finally can subscribe the latest episodes as well if you are based in USA. Even ancient copies of victory gardens from PBS is superior than proven winner infomercials. These great videos teach you how to solve problems, when to plant what, and introduce you to lots of very helpful information you need, like compositing and using organic fertilizers you can create on your own. I dislike the sterile, mulch this video series imply that you should use everywhere. But it’s just my opinion. Many videos also teach you how to save money by dividing and propagating your plants. That’s something you may wish to do one day. Happy gardening!

Charlie from "Garden Rescue" (British TV show seen on YT) says to get kids interested in gardening have them help plant vegetables (that they like). My mom would send my siblings and me to weed her nearly football-field-size veg garden (so it seemed to a 7 year old) then would scream at us for pulling the wrong thing. I'm surprised I love gardening as much as I do with that kind of introduction.
