My husband reminds me that dead plants equal landscaping opportunities. I am getting more hellebores to cover bare ground, such pretty flowers in early spring. I like that you are using them for erosion control and deer repellent too. Clever gardening!

I got caught up in spring fever at the Lowe's garden center and bought some things that I don't think were very well hardened off. So instead of planting them, they've been spending some time in the garage until we get consistently warmer nighttime temps

Thanks Jenny. Mostly cleanup still. Can't trust the weather. Mostly that would be the neighbors dogs barking at me. Just doing their job 😜

Jenny! Great to see a new video from you! You made me LOL when your neighbors walked by, that's me every time. I wonder why your inkberry died? Oh well... so it goes. The new shrubs are pretty.

Hi Jenny! Like the information you provide-didn’t know about the sun baking uncovered ground and destroying microorganisms nor about black walnut tree secretion juglone (sp?). In our garden which is significantly smaller, I try to take one area at a time as you do. Your area looks great after your hard work. Thanks for sharing with us and look forward to more.

So nice to see some planting! I just had 2 huge spruce trees taken out and was able to transplant perennials to move them to safety ahead of time. In early March! In Minnesota! Crazy! But we are expecting a snow storm for the official first day of spring. 😠 Very on on-brand for MN despite the warm winter.

I have several black walnuts trees in my yard it's impossible to grow anything with that juglong. The university of Wisconsin told me that juglong will be 50 to 60 yds from the tree. I have to go w deep raised beds.

I remove all leaves from my gardens because I also have black walnut trees.
