Love your yard. Getting ready to buy a Service Berry and plant near where a Cottonwood once was. Are there any recommendations how to prune like you did so ours will grow more like a tree vs a shrub?

very, very helpful - thank you! It's late Sept in Wisconsin, and I'm thinning a 3-yr old bed of many, many gifted iris I plopped down in a thick bed of leaves (not knowing any better at the time...!) But they definitely are not any worse for wear. And the deer leave them alone!

Hi Jenny! You just gave me an idea to give up one of my autumn joy sedums, put it in a pot and then place it right where it as growing… hardscape/ winter interest! 🌸

It's definitely better to remove those flowers first. Flowers tend to exacerbate transplant shock.

Thanks for a lovely, informative video! as a further tip (that I've seen on other videos I'm watching on this topic ;) ): you can add some rocks/gravel on top of the soil to help prevent the tipping over :) p.s. It would also be interesting to see an update from a week/month later, if that were an option :)

Hi there! I loved your video! You did an excellent job of describing the flowers and the seeds and how to find them. This is my first summer with flowers and I am learning how to save the seeds on my zinnias, marigolds, cosmos, snapdragons, etc. your gardens are beautiful and I love seeing all the blooms. Warmly, Kathy, zone 6 Chicago suburb.

Girl, you are a very talented gardner, and you just solved a problem I've had in finding an evergreen for a small bed with a walkway at the corner of my house. I've been researching/shopping a ton, and this is the first I've heard of this "Gold Cone" juniper. Also your video of you "drastically" shaping your two gold false cypresses also helped me solve the concern I have with the Soft Serve false cypress I originally bought for that corner becoming too squat and unshapely looking for my taste in whatever area I decide to plant it now.

I want edible evergreen.? Thinking hardy kiwi but they make a big overhang. (Still want it) Berries have no color in the winter but woody vines are good. Stumped. Maybe elder berry?

Hi Jenny, you taught me about drying flowers from the garden. Now I have dried lavender, etc in bouquets. THANKS! Have you ever tried germinating seeds using the paper towel method? What were the results? I’m failing using the standard methods. Thanks again. 🌸🌸🌸
