Thank you Annette. I sent you a message to say your video came up for Private viewing only. Left it for 15 minutes and now it's all clear to go. Pleased at least half your corms are viable and you might get some more yet. Look forward to seeing your flowers bursting into colour 🤗🌿🌻

Yes, I think I have lost a few things this spring. It has been bitter for much longer than usual. ☹

Yes, I think some of my Ranunculus have gone the same way - it was those low temperatures that took me unaware 😕

You weather then right after or you wait until they spread out?

Thanks Annette this is really useful. I am growing them for the first time this year. Would they grow in hanging baskets? I have clumsy dogs. Also do you plant them now as we head into deceiver in the UK? Thanks Jane

Hi Jane, it's a little bit late to plant them now because the light levels are so low - I'd advise waiting until February. And, yes, I think they would be fine in hanging baskets - no reason why not. Hope you have some wonderful blooms.

@@cottoverdiThank you. I'll wait till then and prep the baskets. It'll be nice to try something different. 😊

Wonderful!! Two days ago I planted 12 corms (Anemone Coronaria "Mr. Fokker"). I've been looking all over the internet for information about multiplying and aftercare after flowering but couldn't find much. I know about deadheading for daffodils(I have another pot) but I don't know if it applies here.. After flowering, do I just let them be? I read somewhere that I should let them produce seeds, and this is also how they multiply apparently?? Could you please enlighten me about anemone aftercare?

Hi David, sorry for the late reply - I have been away for a week. If you deadhead, it will encourage the plants to produce more blooms and it also prevents the flowers forming seed heads. Of course, if you want the plants to self-seed, then the seed heads are important - but I have never grown anemones from seed. I don't have any experience with anemone propogation but my corms have got much larger each year and I believe that they can be divided so that there is a bud on each piece. Maybe I will try that this season so that I can advise in the future. You should be able to collect anemone seeds too - it's worth a try and is free to do! Good luck. 😁🌸🤞🏼

Thank you. I bought some anemones now and not sure what to do.. I am in zone 6b/7a. Should I put them in the garden now or maybe store in the garage/cellar (5 or 15 celcius) or pre sprout at home?

Hi Monika. There's no rush to plant them. We're coming up to the shortest day tomorrow and so anything we plant will struggle to get sufficient daylight. I'd store them somewhere cool and dry (not below 0°C and wait until February to plant them.

@@cottoverdi thank you! Do you think it is better 5 or 15 celcius? Renuculus as well?

I think 5 would be better. 15 sounds a little too warm.

I just went to lift my corms from this years planters to get them ready to store over winter, only to discover they are already sprouting! Is that normal? What would you recommend I do with them now?

Hi there, I'm so sorry for the late reply - I've been out of the country for so long. I've never had them start sprouting at this time of year, but if they were min, I would plant them out. What did you do?
