I think they are a million times better than roses!!!! Quite honestly, ranunculus blooms are more stunning than roses, and they last longer. No hate to roses lol... but they just don't stand up to ranunculus!

I planted 20 corms this spring. Less hthan half came up and only 1 that did come up Bloomed. 2 flowers and they were super small and only last 2 days before they dried up. I love these flowers but they’re too picky for me to grow! Now my Dahlias are doing phenomenal!

Love this, very informative and loved seeing your critters too 🥰 my only question was how often do you water while you're waiting to sprout? I saw in another comment you'd said you've only watered twice, so would that be about once/week depending on soil moisture?

@anistrand1928
@anistrand1928 2 жыл бұрын
@@Grammiespajammies thanks! I did not but I decided to just water as I would a house plant - based on soil moisture. Once they started to look/feel too dry I watered them until they were just damp and it worked pretty well!

Morning Sarah, quick question will you pot up your ranunculus once they have sprouted and let them grow on a bit more before you plant in your polytunnel or will you just put them straight in. I have got quite a good sprout on mine already. Thanks so much! X

Does corm size matter? Will smaller corms produce smaller or less amount of blooms and larger corms produce larger blooms and more of them? Also, same for anemones. Year 2 of growing both of these for me, and my corms I ordered this year were much smaller than the ones I ordered last year.

Also do you believe in pre chilling? One nursery told me that you need to pre chill corms at 40-50f at night and then 60-75f nights.
@admetric
@admetric 4 жыл бұрын
Yourbpackage said size 4/5 on it. What does that mean and how many flowers per cork do you typically get with that size? I constantly see here in the USA that there are corms listed in ads that are 6/7 cm in size but I never seen anything like that in videos online.yiur second generation corms looks that size maybe.
@bloomandgray
@bloomandgray 4 жыл бұрын
Hey I’m not sure how many flowers I’ll get let corm. Maybe 2-4? I usually get larger ones but they ran out of stock so had to get smaller. I don’t pre chill mine either. I get almost 100% success with my corms so I don’t see the need to pre chill.
