Laura, where you have a long stretch of planting to do, use two kneeling pads. You can place the unused one beside you as you go, then you don’t have to get up, just keep bringing the odd one over. That method doesn’t work everywhere but will save a little wear and tear on your body over time! And I’d say you have many more years in those beautiful gardens, everything is so beautiful!

I was thinking the exact same thing that her back must be killing her by the end of the day. As I got older I went more and more with perennials that just show up on their own and are easier to take care of and planted a lot less annuals. Laura has an enormous amount of energy 🤩🎉

The depth of your understanding of the diverse array of flowers is truly remarkable, and has me pen and paper ready! Your property is a testament to beauty, and I know it's a sight to behold in person. It fills me with inspiration, and I yearn to envelop my own home in such splendor. Although the current economic climate has tightened my purse strings, the mere thought of such beauty brings joy to my heart. Your wonderful videos are a beacon of inspiration. Thank you kindly. Ever since i started watching your channel. Its given me design insight into what colours and textures to incorporate. My biggest takeway is to think of lacey, blue, bold, green, red, grassy and gold/yellow foliage. Also ensure you have flowering most of the season and if it isnt doing it for you in one spot. Remove it and move it, replace and rehome. Thank you for re-inspiring mu garden journey.

The area behind the chicken coop looks so nice! I love those smaller places in the garden. I always find small flowerbeds a bit more charming than vast areas. All flowers are pretty much attracting pollinators! This is something we read on the internet but generally all flowers attract pollinators and bugs. Some definitely more than others but I see many times people struggling to find flowers good for pollinators… Guys, buy any plant you want (or that is suitable for your area) and pollinators will come. Don’t worry thaaaaaat much!

If you're seeing lots of swallowtails, you might consider planting a whole row of dill for the caterpillars. We did that every year as a kid and we raised hundreds of butterflies! I found this channel 4/5 years ago. I was totally invested before you bought the south garden. I remember the first video I fell In love with was the hay rack video across the front of the house on the fence.. then I remember when you bought the south garden and you started planting the maples. I will always remember when I realized how educational and informative you are. I think this is the KZbin channel I watch the most, and my partner and my friends always expect hearing about what you're updating because I'm always updating them about you. When I finally buy a piece of property I just know my garden will have an exceptional start because of your influence. If I'm ever out west in the high desert of Oregon. I will definitely stop by Andrews seeds. You've been such a huge influence on my education and design of gardens and outdoor spaces. I LOVE watching you and your family become one with nature and the total education of everyone you touch with your videos.
