Bare root roses are often purchased and planted in the later winter or early spring, before the growing season kicks in. This video shows the basics of planting bare root roses in both a pot and in the ground. While it's not rocket-science, hopefully watching and seeing some tips helps you be successful. Bare root roses will thrive with compost-enriched dirt, a good watering, a pruning to ignite growth, and then the time to get established before the heat of summer kicks in.
