Okay, traditions!! Poppop used to mow in the hottest part of the day and now, you are planting in Florida, on the coldest day in years!! You're right, they need lots of room!! Your cabbages last year were excellent! Well done!

They need lots of mulch to keep them warm, the rest of the week should be cold, too!! If you made pretzels last week, so this is a week behind?? Makes my first comment a bit moot, lol... Jmho, more water on your seeds!!
