Planting Color Blends Alliums Blubs / Schubertii

I'm late getting my blubs in the ground. But what do they say, better late than never. As long as the gournd isn't frozen you can still plant. I don't fertilie because come spring it warms up, turns cold, warms up, turns cold. I do not want to do any thing that will cause my bulbs to come up to soon. I feel fertilizer will encourage that growth.
