As always, Thanks for the ride along. I believe you got the rain you wanted the other day here in our area. Farmers in my area have been going hard at it. I've just been setting around the house watching them roll across the fields then run as fast as they can to the next field. I stepped out late one night & could see their lights out in the field & off in the distance I could hear one of those newer air planters screaming thru the darkness nearby. Stay safe.

@@jakeziegler599 No I've not helped him out for a few years now. Dang "Day Job" had been taking up way too much of my time but, I've always told him that if he needs a hand to give me a call.

That's interesting to know about the floating row cleaners. I was thinking they might work good on variable soil types. Sounds like I better keep my solid ones. Thanks for the video.
@jakeziegler5994 жыл бұрын
Ya we thought they’d be the ticket. Ya stick to the fixed ones

Can you show how you mounted that ez pilot on the wheel? Like the securement of the motor.

Jake like your natural GPS always like how you put a strip to mark the rows you are planting nice and dry happy to see that nice video.

As warm as your soil is I could see not many people down there using pop up. Strips look good! For Precision around the farm AG leader it's so hard to beat. Everything you can get from precision you can get from them for your planter but then it's also a better monitor for on the farm. I can do the steering the mapping run any Implement that you can back up to.

We saw people planting corn today in my area(eastern Ontario). We haven't, will likely start next week. Weather forecast changed and we are not ready. We spent today fixing a dual and the disk. Planting with autosteer is something we are going to have to play with. We just have Waas, but a nieghbour uses waas autosteer to plant corn and says it's okay. The markers aren't always visible in areas with lots of corn stalks.
@jakeziegler5994 жыл бұрын
To run waas u will just have to use ur marker if ur going to stop for a while. Pass to pass if u don’t stop should be fine

@@jakeziegler599 Yes and our display(may be on most displays) has a "nudge" function, which you can correct the line one side or the other. Wouldn't dream of doing it any other way, but that is good advice.

I always like planting almost as much as run the combine. Do y'all have any row or section shut off on that planter? I'd like to put then on my white 6180 but haven't figured put what would work best. Thanks for the video. Take care and have fun

What population are you planting, and what GPS Signal are you running in both tractors? Is it difficult at harvest because you’re running a 12 row and 16 row in the same field or does it come out ok?
@jakeziegler5994 жыл бұрын
Harvesting isn’t to bad because the strips are straight so it’s easy to follow with the 16 row. 34000 and I’m running centerpoint RTX
