Planting corn May 14th 2022. John Deere 3020 and John Deere 7000 Planter

In this video I get the last of the corn planted for '22. I'm using my John Deere 3020 and John Deere 7000 four row planter. It has been tuff getting things done this spring. A lot of rain and More coming. It's dry now but isn't going to stay that way. Hope you enjoy and thanks for watching!!!

Very nice classic equipment! Both your 3020 and 7000 looked like they were working great and the 3020 sounded really good. I love to see the older equipment out there doing it's job. And they still get it done! Glad you got your corn finished. While it's fun to do, it's always a relief to have it in the ground.

Thank you Nelson!! Just like my dad and grandpa did it. Just what I like!! Back when the 3020 was new gas was just a little cheaper. Ground was in great shape. Harrow did the trick. Got the corn finished and the bean Ground ready and it started raining again. Down a couple days now. But they did come today to work on the tractor air. Thanks for stopping by Nelson!!

Nice work I've never seen that where the tractor was not centre to the marker. I see that you line up with the edge of tire if I not mistaken. Hope you have a good catch. Have a good day.

With the norrow rows and just being four rows, I cant make my markers short enough to run in the center. Lol Wish I could. Corn is up and doing good! Thanks for watching!!

I remember when I was a little guy we planted with a 4 or 5 row John deer steel planter. we used a ropes on each side to lift the guides. really funny how fast times have changed. Have a great day Stinson.

I planted with a 4 row 494 JD planter with no markers for years. Loved that planter. Wish I had it now. Have a great day as well!!

those new generation tractors were some real war horses...i got a 3010 that i put a wide front end on with 7100 john deere planters...you use medium round corn?

I think they are real good tractors. And the best looking tractor JD has made. Last year I planted a medium round and it did good. I planted a Dekab corn this year that is a flat. I have a good stand on it looks like. Thanks for watching and commenting!!
