We have hurricanes here on the SC coast, but no winds that just pop up midday (and almost just as strong as a TS!) and then die away. Crazy that you have to deal with that all the time! Thank you for showing us. You had little warning....at least with hurricanes we have days to prepare.

Laura, I don't know about anyone else, but I can rarely hear ANY background noise (unless someone is mowing very close to you). I don't think you need to worry about it. You all correct me if that is not (or is also) your experience. I vote for no boxwoods down that lane. I think it looks clean and fresh!

Now that was truly some high winds. Even with days like that, I truly enjoy starting my day with a good cup of Folgers coffee and GA working in the garden, just absolutely keeps me motivated to get in my medium size garden. Thank you GA for always sharing and posting your garden and other gardens around the globe. I live in the same area. We live on hope and prayer for all the trees lol I had a neighbors trampoline roll across our backyard last year and thank God it didn’t take out any of my young trees or David Austin roses!

Laura, watching you just randomly plant your beauties in the ground has given me more courage to do the same! Yesterday I went to a couple of nurseries and found some shade/sun plants that are supposed to be deer resistant. I’ve placed them where I plan to plant them as soon as the rain subsides here in western Oregon!

I love bleeding hearts. It reminds me of my grandfather, he would separate them and show me the hidden treasures. Have you showed that to the kids yet? For people unaware you can look up bleeding heart folklore. The flower opens to show bunny slippers and a Champagne bottle and other things. I love the little story. Enjoy the day.

Hello, that windstorm was cool/ dangerous happy all the trees and plants survived and no one was hurt. I think where the boxwoods stops is fine but I do think you need something along the pathway area. Something low growth with blooms no more boxwoods.Shame no water to that koko bush 😜luckily it has you! Now all is well .nice seeing you momma Laura take care

Gosh, I thought Kansas had crazy weather, but you all get it, too----HUGE wind storm and then getting down to 27 degrees IN MAY?! Wow. I love that ice plant, and moving the heuchera to that other spot is great. It really compliments the bird bath. I vote for having boxwoods come all the way down to where you put the rose trees in the pots. I think that'd be really nice.

The wind reminds me what it does here. We had Tornados and lots of high winds , our electricity was out for about 8 hours on this past Sunday. No damage, except for one big limb out of one of our maple trees. The Tornado went around us, thank God. Great video, everything you planted looks beautiful already.❤

I used to live close to a property that had about 6 different colors of ice plant on their frontage. 15 feet deep and YARDS long. It was glorious when they were all in bloom, I just loved them. That was SOME WIND!

I also live in the treasure valley, I love the interesting weather we have, with the exception of the havoc it does to our trees especially! the mad dashes to bring things in or under shelter. It keeps things interesting!

Wow...that was quite a windstorm! It almost looked like a precursor of a tornado. I guess you don't get tornadoes out there....but, you always mention windstorms. Pretty intense! I'm glad that nothing got damaged and all is fine. I love the heucheras...the silvery leaves and bright pink blooms. Very striking. The gardens are coming along beautifully. 😊

wow... wind is so bad and scary.. we get winds like that a few times a year that we call Santa Ana or devil winds.. and yeah, if it's not tied down, it's gone.. but you seem to get them almost on a regular basis... poor Paul and that umbrella.. he wrestled it inside tho... so happy everything survived the winds and hopefully the plants that got bitten by the frost will flush back.. i love the green area by your kitchen walk, too.. i think the heucheras look better on the other side.. the green gives that area interest but also rest for the eye (who taught me that?? haha)... wow, quite an exciting couple of days!! 🥰❤thanks for the video!! 🥰❤
