I was just looking at the Brandywine because I wanted to know if there were any self-pollinating viburnums. I loved the look of the berries, but I just don't have the room for it. Ugh. Looking forward to seeing this grow in your garden, though.

Some might be, but ours have been bred to not be invasive. From personal experience I have never had one of our butterfly bushes spread, if that helps, I am in a 5b zone.

Large properties, color purple kind of gets lost. Do like the unusual shape of the purple flower. Some of theses flowers, asthma suffers beware, when they get large they can bring on allergy attacks. Fall season pollins can be more powerful then spring blooms. Prairie style plants can be allergy worst friend. Love those hydrangeas!!!
