Very nice way of planting! In Sweden smallscale farming often use trenches dug with a hoe. Sometimes with fava beans between the potatoes.

Wow that is a lot of land that you have to plant potatoes. I just wondered if it was possible to purchase a small 'trencher' machine...that could dig about a 5" deep trench (gas powered)...and then someone could come along and just move the dirt back over the potato placed in the ground? Do they have those type machines in Ukraine at all ? Or how expensive are they I wonder in Ukraine? For young people the physical work is fine, but for the older folks, it appears to be a lot of physical work. But everyone is happy and that is what is important :)

In Ukraine we don’t have trencher machines, people usually use tractors or small ‘motoblocks’. We don’t buy one because we have pretty small area to plant. Moreover, they are a little bit expensive 🫢☺️
