Beautiful garden! Even though I'm 61, I learn something new all the time. I love sweet potatoes and never knew the plant was edible! Since I'm fond of spinach and other greens, this will be going on the table next season. Thank you for another great and informative video!

The leaves destroy prostate cancer in men. We did it under md supervision with 2 people I know and both are now cancer free. As a missionary a tribe in the Philippines eat the Ube which is a purple yam and have never had prostate problems.

I started some slips (experimentally) in the kitchen by just pulling them off the tuber and sticking them in some water and they rooted right up. Have an older strawberry bed that I am pulling out this season, so thinking I should see how many slips I can get started to plant out in there once it warms up enough. I also just shoved a couple whole ones, that were growing in the pantry 😅, down in one of the beds last fall to see if they would self start this spring. It's been really mild winter (western OR) so who knows, LOL Started with the chicken feed video, our girls had slipped off more than most years, so we knew something was up.... And trying eggs in the pressure pot right now. Pickled eggs are next! Thanks for the videos.

Good day from Superior’s North Shore…I’ve never heard of people planting sweet potatoes here, maybe we don’t have enough of a growing season??…I’ll try some next season. Still doing the hay bale garden and getting good results with little maintenance. Cheers! 🇨🇦

After all these years that i've been following you i must say that you still have the most amazing eyes. I'm wondering how the mulberry trees are doing? Love the content, keep it country :)

Sweet potatoes are so great in nutrition. Almost perfect for vitamins and even trace minerals. Love them. Good Southern staple. They like the sandy soil around here in particular (not all plants prosper in our area), which y'all probably have down there too, but I imagine they can grow most anywhere there is a moderate to warm climate. Thanks for the vid. Also not known by many, they are botanically an edible version (at the root level of course) of Morning Glory. Let them bloom too and check out the flowers. Also, really like the raised beds concept. Excellent work.

why is it, that when plant the slips from orange sweet potatoes, from the store, I pull up white tasteless ones?
