Dr. Earth Pure Gold All purpose fertilizer is a great substitute for biotone. It also has beneficial microbes and mycorrhizae. Lowes always has it. Biotone is for newly planted because of the beneficial fungus and beneficial bacteria. All other tones just are fertilizer.
@HarmonyHillsHomeandGarden3 жыл бұрын
Yes, you're right about the other "tones", but it's what I had on hand. Good to know about the Dr. Earth option. Thanks!

A new planting bed adjacent to your neighbors’ yard, how exciting! I am contemplating a new planting bed myself. I don’t blame you; I would plant some evergreen screening plants also. Judging from the video, I think your neighbors are not as interested in gardening as you are. It be fun to see your new space progress. Good luck with that.

You must have been chomping at the bit to get back to your garden after being away. Enjoyed your vacation vids thoroughly and how you helped your family with their garden. Not much rest for you though! Such a hard worker and quite the diplomat (altering the view, hehe!) Did you bring back those beautiful pots you found at the garden centre? They were lovely and a real bargain. Eileen in Va.

Just want you to know the plant tone is fine. They say biotone is of course best when planting new plants. But to use any tones you have available if you don't have the one you need. Meaning when even doing your 6 month fertilizing and you don't have plant tone any tone is better than no tone. I try to always keep biotone and plant tone but if out and need right away and they aren't available I will grab flower tone and garden tone. I just wanted you to know what you did was just fine and will help it thrive. Loving all the videos. Thank you

So I’m seeing this video 2 years later 😊. What does your Rose of Sharon look like now? Did it survive?
@HarmonyHillsHomeandGarden11 ай бұрын
It did survive, but did not thrive in that location. So I moved it to a full sun location last year, and I'm hoping good things for it. The deer do eat it, so I have to keep it sprayed with repellant, which is difficult to keep up with.

@@HarmonyHillsHomeandGarden you’re so sweet to respond, thank you 😊. I just purchased 2 around the time I sent you that message. Again, thanks so much for sharing and responding.
