Planting Sweet Corn Two Rows At A Time

Today I planted the first of the sweet corn for 2023.

My two row RDH planter is still on the pallet it was shipped on probably about another week and I'll be using it. If you don't mind when you get to planting your pumpkins I would like to know how you set up your planter I plan on using mine to plant pumpkins as well I have pumpkin meters for it but I have no idea what to set population at. I want 6' in row spacing for my pumpkins.

I am a corn farmer myself is one of the main reasons that I like watching your Channel. But I have to ask myself why do you not plant peas and or beans to sell to the public? We sell peas beans and squash and okra along with a few watermelons to certain individuals or families. Just curious why you don't mess with peas or beans they don't take a lot of fertilizer being they are a legume?

Labor would be my guess.....they may not take much fertilizer, but they take a lot of hands to harvest..

I have grown a little bit of everything in the past. With the time and labor I have now this seems to work the best but you never know I have been thinking about getting back into strawberries. Thanks for watching
