Finding a gauge wheel is easy, just go to the end then count your 16 rows. One row will look different, start there and keep counting off 16 rows until you see the row is no longer different. Back up 16, that is the row the gauge wheel fell off in.

If certain equipment has a tendency to lose parts in the field, you could try mounting a cheap 720p camera to watch the rear of the tractor. Facing the parts directly would be ideal. Then if something falls and you don't find it immediately, you can review the tapes quick and see the exact moment it fell. Then reference the treeline or something and go pick it up. This is how we caught IED planters in the sandbox. (Except we used drones) Just an idea.

First job in 1981, designing software for farmers, row crops, dairy, etc., all on huge 5 1/4" floppies. RadioShack Tandy PCs, room full of code writers. Retired NASA engineer husband-wife team's idea of retirement was to help our farmers become more efficient. Great intentions, just ahead of the curve, ahead of their time. Loved 'em, remarkable pair. Now, over 40 years later & we have full-fledged, software driven farming equipment & it still comes with lots & lots of hard work!! That hasn't changed. Farming is hard & our farmers are to be respected & appreciated. Grant & Laura are exceptional people, the kind that could succeed in many endeavors. But they chose farming! So excited to see multi generational farming families. You two rock, and make this YT fan very happy & very proud. You can continue planting now 🙂🫡

You're watching a young couple operate a machine that looks like a space ship on the outside and more complicated than an airliner flight deck on the inside and occasionally looses a part in the middle of an enormous field and then you're wondering why that's exiting?
