Well done. I'd like your tips. But I would have tide up the chestnut tree, because he or she is so high and can get blown over .

@@DM-eg3os Thank you 😊 I am glad you liked these tips 💚 Yes, for some trees it is a good idea to create some support. After watering the tree thoroughly after planting it, the soil was quite compacted and the tree felt stable enough, so I chose not to do it. Two weeks in and the tree is doing well 🤗

I also planted chestnuts and I heard that they need another tree for pollination. I am in Italy and planted three different trees

@@claudiaschade7862 Yes, you are correct 😊 I will plant one more next year, once I have figured out my food forest design

Hi,when planting your tree's is it worth putting a tube/pipe next to them for the summer then when you water the water gets down the tube to the roots and not evaporate in the sun ?

Man that soil looks fertile…black…like the black dirt district here where i live in the states.
@Itsirislisette2 ай бұрын
@@ciprianoneves7246 It does, right? It is actually quite sandy and acidic. When dry it looks completely different 😅 But I can work with it 🌱💪🏻 With cover crops to add some organic matter, using crushed dolomite to balance the ph and using wood chips to mulch, over time this will be a fantastic soil 💚

Chestnut trees are easy to grow…..just stick a chestnut in the ground and voila… Same with olive trees…..stick a branch in the ground…..and you are good… Course…they take a few years to mature…but you got tome sister. Laugh
