Planting TREE PEONY for beautiful GIANT flowers!

In this video I plant Hanakisoi Paeonia suffruticosa 'Hanakisoi' Tree Peony (According to Breck's is Zone 4-7 Height 36 - 60 inches ) and Shima-Nishiki Tree Peony Paeonia suffruticosa 'Shimanishiki' (Zone 4-9 Height 36 - 72 inches)
Tree peonies are sometimes forgotten about because herbaceous peonies, for example are so much faster growing but Tree Peonies are interesting plants with breathtaking dinner plate sized flowers! They are early bloomers, feed pollinators and some are quite fragrant.

I’ve been wanting to try these, but I don’t really have a good spot. My woods edge is tough to plant as well. Why do home builders try to bury their construction debris? The thorn bushes are wicked as well.

I got mine at Breck's. Tree peonies are slow growing so they are very expensive the bigger they are. They sell the smaller size. Still expensive but hopefully one day worth it. :)
