Whoever made this video is awesome! Its so aesthetically pleasing but also educational,With increasing frequency of forest fires on a massive scale, growing demand in the lumber industry, and global urbanization of habitats, From a long-term perspective, we need to plant trees, and I hope more people can join in the activities of planting trees and contribute to the greening of the earth.

What an amazing guy and an amazing organisation...it makes me so happy to see projects like this happening ! In from Ireland and the majority of our forests are gone, an absolute disgrace considering the whole country was once nearly all forest. I hope other countries and people can take note of what use are doing and follow in your footsteps =)

Nothing against Eden, but it seemed at the beginning of the video that he was going to discuss the management and caretaking side of growing a forest. The first part of the video was about planting, and the second part was talking about results with the exception of one sentence about keeping loggers and herders away from the saplings. I would have really like to have the discussion focus on the things Eden does between the planting stage and the "four years later we have a canopy" stage.

True, other important things are ensuring that the trees get enough water even during dry seasons, preventing people from cultivation, preventing cattle grazing. These 3 by themselves are quite some work. Especially changing the local community's perception towards trees if they didn't care about them. By the 5th year that's when you begin to relax.

Does Eden partner with Ecosia or are you competitors? I know Ecosia uses visits and satellites to monitor, how is yours monitored?
@hrhprophetessofdarknesssex57842 жыл бұрын
I believe Eden is one of Ecosia's partner organisations. Ecosia doesn't plant trees themselves, but donates to organisations like Eden. Edit. Eden Reforestation Project is supported by Ecosia and they are one of Ecosia's partner organisations.

This is no doubt a dumb question, but I live and grew up in Nebraska. First I know bamboo is not a tree but a grass. Having said that what I saw in my wife's country (Philippines) is a "forest" of giant bamboo. It grows very fast and tall. Would this grass like a tree help?

That into made no sense. Just because you know of survival rate doesn't mean it doesn't apply to you. if you're gonna guarantee donors that a tree will be planted and survive for 10 dollars because the survival rate is let's say 10%, then planting 10 seedlings for the same 10 dollars is the same thing.

I work for a large company which uses your services for a company named evergreen. I would like to get a copy of this video so that I could place this into a PowerPoint presentation to show people in company exactly how important using evergreen is and what it does for the environment. Is there any way that you could contact me directly to get this video as I'm not able to download this off of KZbin and I would like to shorten it a little bit as this is going to be in a large company-wide meeting
