That's going to be so beautiful in the spring! How do you avoid raking up the mulch when you rake the leaves out of the beds? I would have so many weeds growing in the beds if the mulch got disturbed. I usually leave the leaves because of this. I do rake them off the lawn. I usually try and plant the bulbs in late October before I have too many leaves that have fallen. Seeing how fast you were able to plant all those bulbs, I think I need an auger.

what about planting tulips in pots Marta ? Do the pots need to be deep ? What kind of soil are best ? Do i keep the pots in the veranda which is cold in winter ?
