Your pansies and the ivy look great! I have some containers on my back deck this year, and I love the color they bring whenever I look outside. So cheerful! Looking forward to seeing your tulips in the spring 🌷☀️

I've never heard of muscari. That's a beautiful flower. Your colors come spring are going to be so beautiful!

I have terrible clay soil with lots of rocks, but an auger is still way faster and easier than a manual shovel or trowel (less blister too). Some things to consider are the voltage of your drill. This will ensure it has enough strength for the auger to spin through the soil. Also, having a firm strong upper body and wide leg stance to really push in and ensure the drill doesn’t spin out of your hands as it drills through the soil. So I don’t recommend an auger for people who don’t have at least some upper body strength. I have large rocks and clay but I also rely on the anti kickback of my dewalt 20 volt drill. That way if it finds a large rock or gets stuck on a large tree root it will stop and not twist my arms off. Laura from garden answer has mentioned it a few times in her videos too.

Good point. I was thinking about that the other day. I was using my husbands drill- not sure of the voltage. I would love to get my own and what a great suggestion of the anti kickback dewalt. I will look into it! I would love for the auger to work for me! Thank you!!

What is that beautiful white flower that you open the video with? It’s so pretty. Can’t wait to see it in spring!

I have the same auger and my holes looked just like yours. My small bulb planter like yours doesn’t have the soil release. I might have to look for one. I have never seen that Muscari, beautiful color. The one thing I did not like about my traditional purple Muscari is in the fall the leaves come up and you are not supposed to cut them. I think it’s a messy look.

Yes, luckily I don't get too many leaves in this area. It's my first time trying out Muscari so we will see how I like it.

Wow was not impressed by auger, especially with clay soil.
