It's depressing how the 2016 concept knew how to actually make an actual sequel to be like PvZ1 and 2. And then the other builds removed *EVERYTHING.* [EDIT] Now after lookin' at the concept art, i realize, that maybe PvZ3 was gonna take an stronger direction towards the story. Many NPCs, an more onminius Zombot, and a concept of a Factory of the Zombies, while a girl with Peashooter are hiding. Probably, the plants talking in the later builds is a reminiscent of the idea of a more complex plot.

How did 2020 get rid of everything. What, because it made the sunflower a automatic bar? So what. You still got the five lane tower defense with zombies coming at you. If you did research like a true fan then you would see they were planning on adding sunshroom. But they couldn’t add it in time because whiny people like you couldn’t handle to see an amazing company like popcap spread its wings and try new things (that rhymes lol). You were so focused on complaining because it wasn’t like shitty pvz1, that you couldn’t see how genius 2020’s version actually was. It’s so sad to see a franchise and company’s downfall caused by the toxic “fans” that couldn’t stop complaining and just accept that things need to change. And don’t give me that bullshit about “um well actually I’m fine with change except for when it changes everything that made the first games special 🤓”. Yeah cause sunflowers were the only thing that made people like the first two games.

i think the things we have now are really good but i do wish some aspects of the first rendition stuck like the peashooter and zombie designs, sunflower would look in damn near any style so not really a worry about that but i think the peashooter and zombies had nice evolutions in designs for them, the other ones feel more like they're going back in some aspects

Seriously though, they were on to something with 2015/2016 design (mainly the Sunflower, Peashooter, and Zombies). Why they scrapped those perfect early 2D designs for terrible budget ass 3D models, I'll never know (my best guess is a mandate from EA). The peashooter got it the worst man, progressively looking worse with each new design iteration post-2015. The 2021 redesigns are passable, but got nothing on the 2015 stuff. How does one mess up a sequel's art direction this royally?

As the pvz master I should explain myself: Pvz is the best game ever since 2009, and the most funniest tower defense game. The franchise grew bigger and awesome throughout the years. (with top grossing) Popcap wants more people to enjoy pvz, and defend against the undead, as you progress. Even now there working behind the scenes, adding new plants, and updates, to make the best gameplay and experience for everyone. Oh and while we're on the subject of evolution think of it this way: most people love pvz other wise there wouldn't be 7 pvz games ( 3 mobile, 3 garden warfare , 1 heros). In the end we are all showing our support in pvz by playing and rating if you don't like pvz then that's your opinion and choice but if you do like it don't be afraid to show support, and let's hope the franchise can continue for people who like pvz.

It was evolving in 2019 and 2020 but now it’s devolving :( the game was perfect in 2020 and now it’s a puzzle game. It’s so sad. I still like the new version better than pvz1 because the first game is a piece of shit but I wish we still had the 2020 soft launch to play because that game was actual genius. It did a good job changing up some of the gameplay and keeping things fresh instead of the old soggy ways of pvz1.

The 2019 build had a ton of flaws, but was somenthing. The later fixed some, but still was somenthing flawed. *The thing is in the name.* You'll see, the 2016 build was what the next main game needed. It deserved the 3 in the title. But, EA is EA, felt like putting the 3 into somenthing very different. It feels like it's just another phone game. The very first build knew what to do. The later builds just want to money. It clashes hard against the first two.
