I think the main disadvantage of Garlic is that we get it too late. Perhaps if some plant in the Fog (Pumpkin for example) was swapped with Garlic, people would've used it more.

Chompers seem strong because they can delete someone instantly, but in reality that just ends with them dying every time they actually get a kill. The best games I've had with chompers are the ones where I used the giant loogie ability to take down lower hp foes and basically steal kills.

Chomper is AMAZING in speedruns, it has fast recharge and can even eat zombonis. Despite it being slow to chew it's still a spammable 1 shotter, which is why it's good for speedruns cause it can take zombies out quick. @Monki Flip True that Sunflower is a necessity to almost all levels but think of it this way. If you are to put Sunflower in S-Tier (or higher) and made up a challenge like beating Survival Day Hard with only B-Tier plants or lower, Sunflower won’t be used then b/c since it’s placed on a higher tier, making it almost impossible to beat. If you are to only use S-Tier plants or higher, you can use Sunflower as well as powerful plants. This made it a much bias scenario that way. So it’s true Sunflower is very important (a fact that nobody can deny). It’s just that putting it in a tier impacts A LOT when you do lower tier challenges. If you put it not-ranked, it means you can use Sunflower in every challenge either high or low tier. It’s much easier to tell the difference that way. Hope this helps. *In case you’re wondering. Yes I used Shyguymask Plus’s video on Survival Day Hard using C Tier Plants and lower to prove my point.

@@WiloPolis03 I mean, don't get me wrong, it's incredibly fun, but not incredibly practical. Most other insta kill plants can do better. Sure, hypnotizing a disco may be able to theoretically clear crowds at a cheaper cost than say a doom shroom or a cherry bomb, but the incredibly long recharge of the hypno shroom comboed with how inconsistent it is, given you have to plant it right in front of the disco zombie and get a coffee bean to go off on it without it being killed, and hope that no other zombies are also eating it that could become hypnotized. That's not even mentioning that it requires you to have not damaged the disco much, and that disco is a fairly uncommon zombie.

Here's a quick question to ask yourself if you doubt the list: If you have every plant unlocked and you play a random level from any gamemode, which plant would you most likely choose? Trust me, if you have every plant you would never use hypno shroom or cactus by choice. And this tier list considers all modes, so starfruit is really good because it excels at most even if it really struggles in survival hard/endless.

I dont know why sm people think it’s useless, its very useful imo. Kills ALL balloon zombies on screen and gets rid of ALL the fog. Cactus may get rid of Balloon’s ability, but it won’t insta-kill like the Blover does. Plantern can light up a small area of fog, but Blover clears all of the fog

Honestly, this is the best tier list for anything I've ever seen. You keep each plant short but still put points for each, and it seems everything is thought out! Even though I disagree with a few plants (I think Scaredy Shroom should be C), I still know, understand, and respect your choices! This tier list is S++! @@zerotwoisreal and you havent mention that sometimes they are not for offensive but for defensive. Fast recharge rate and no sun cost makes the most out of him of course. Even in roof stages he can still be good for defensive but not as begining because the flower pot limitation, still you can already imagine a tough defends when planting 5 or 6 rows of them

Peashooter is a fine plant, but is a great starter to introduce you to the world of PvZ. It's simple to understand, good price (not too cheap but not too expensive so you can't just spam it without consequences), do okay damage in early game. It is flawed, but that flaw is the reason why other plants existed in the first place.

It's just way too expensive (at least for day levels) for basically a slightly better Squash or worse Jalapeño (depending on the number of zombies on the lane). Also the fact that it cannot hypnotize vehicles or Gargs make it a mediorce "plant"

I used to draw some fanmade plants bc i noticed that the names are puns. For example, "Spear": a pear who can shoot spears. "Chill-i": the same jalapeno but freezes the entire row. Until that i found that chill-i is kinda useless, so i upgraded its specialty to killing off the entire row of zombies but leaving a cooling effect on the next wave of zombies.
