The developers devoted themselves to listen to the community feedback when remodelling PVZ3 well the fact that PVZ3 is filled with Garden Scapes content & there was no seed select screen for 3 fucking years has proven to me that not a single Soul at Popcrap has listened to us. If you ask me Popcap’s Communication with Players & the community is Horrible compared to the likes of Mojang Studios.

Real. Gonna be honest 2016 was honestly peak pvz. We had pvz2 doing really well, gw2 came out and hit so hard it contends for best game in the franchise within the community, and heroes had released to positive reception. It's been a sad state ever since late 2018 imo.

At this Point I've reached a Point where I think they should just release and continue with what they have and call it a Day. While it is good to know that they are at least aware of the Opinions of the Fandom and seemingly do something with that Info, how long are they gonna keep re-developing the same Game over and over again while having no Source of Income besides using and disfiguring the 11 Years old Predecessor as Cashcow? How long is that supposed to go well? Why is there seemingly no Plan? Why did we even start developing a new Game when seemingly PopCap itself doesn't know what that Game is supposed to be? PvZ has always been a Game Series that got it's Success off of the endless Amount of whacky Ideas and Creativity from it's Developers which nowadays seems entirely lost. Every PvZ Games up to PvZ BfN has brought something new to the Series and that made the Game's Identity. My Advice to the Devs would be to ask themselves if they even know anymore at this Point what PvZ3 means. What is it that distinguishes it from PvZ, PvZ Adventures, PvZ 2, PvZ Garden Warfare and the Rest of the Bunch?

The main problem with the latest iteration is that it doesn't have a real USP. What does this PvZ3 offer that you can not already experience in the first 2 games? The first iteration may have had too many answers to this question, but that's still better than not having any at all.

PvZ3 needs a complete overhaul, such that it actually feels like a PvZ game. Things to do for EA: * Remove the lives system * Remove the taco ticket system * Reintroduce a system where you view the game’s levels (like the travel log from PvZ2) * Visually redesign the “choose your seeds” menu to better match PvZ3’s prequels * Redesign the game over screen to be more scary (&maybe even make several versions of them for flavor)

also choose your seeds should happen as you start the level, like when you press play you see the zombies, and then choose your seeds. the way it is now is way too tacky. all the levels are way too unmeaningfull. especially with how waves work.

also maybe a new art style that doesn't use any 3d models, i want them to have quality over quantity with levels because pvz2 has way too much levels and alot of them kinda suck and also just make the game a paid game instead of being "free" but making the game awful with mircotransaction garbage and ads, and get a good composer for the music, if they want mircotransaction money at this point make it like btd6 where the game cost money to play but it had mircotransactions but everything you can get with them, you can also get from playing instead of locking plants or just add dlc that adds more levels or worlds

Issue with pvz2 is most of its dev crew left. They’d need to train a whole new crew to even manage the code of the game. Similar case with pvz one but unlike pvz2 it doesn’t need online maintenance. It would only need game expansion at extra cost then can be ignored in updates for years.

Why pvz2? Pvz1 is a much better game and if given pvz2 features alone in a dlc would be nice. Things the first game needs: 1- Addition of front yard day and night, side yard day and night, roof night, graveyard day and night adventure levels. 2- pvz2 and maybe even garden warfare plants and mini games. 3- reworks of all plant and zombies stats. 4- Make all purchasable shop plants able to be placed without having a pre existing plant. Good example is with freeze melons as in pvz2 you just place them like normal plants. Currently in pvz one you must plant them on top a melon plant. 5- New zombies. 6- Loads more new achievements. Once done the game would be perfect and could live on with a revitalized active and large player base for another ten years. Don’t get me wrong pvz2 is a good game I personally think there’s more to be had in a dlc reworking pvz1 as if done right can restore player trust in Pop Cap. Pvz2 does need expansion but again we need pvz1 looked at first as it gives the games world its identity.

They didn’t kill it they had a hands off approach. What happened here is Pop Cap started out sourcing the game development and that’s why it sucks. In terms of p2w stuff that was done by Pop Cap before EA bought them and is why the OG dev left the company.
