In Pvz 2 china, it's actually not that big of a deal since a plant only costs 10 puzzle pieces to unlock. Also, unlike the international version, there are many more sources for getting the puzzle pieces.

As you said, it could be used to plant on damaged tiles. Alternatively, a new gimmick or environment could be introduced where flower pots could be usable.

BIG CORRECTION: Doom-shroom ACTUALLY has easing added to his animations, if you analyze carefully, the idle animation starts slow, then gets faster at the middle, then slows down at the end of the inhale, just like how normal living things do. And when you mentioned that it was going "too fast," I didn't get it at first, but I get your point, the breathing might be a little too fast, but it still has easing to it. Just give my boy justice in the animation department. It's odd however, because it got easing while the next leaked plants after it go straight back to no easing. Also, Sea-shroom has NO easing added to it whatsoever, but its design is admittedly better than the 2 mushrooms you mentioned. It's also funny because PVZ2 China is cooking with their animations and designs. I never thought the day would come that THEY actuallly do the art style and animation better than international.

The thing is Doom Shroom also fits into PVZ 2 well without needing to be changed since in PVZ 1 it was "125 Sun, Nuke the whole board" and well...that'll fit in with the super spammy/heavy zombie hordes of arena Sea Shroom....I can't think of any reason

Sorry but Plantern isn't coming because he is already in the Chinese Version, he does the same thing as pvz1 that is to remove fog in Memory Lane but also reveal Bandit Zombies in Dark Ages that goes invisible when entering the lawn.

Finally someone who talked about this! TBH It would be MUCH better if they were updating the existing worlds and adding new plants to them, or even make new worlds for these plants, BUT, as "The Zombosseum" were came out, we finally understood that the Pop Cap has lost it's enthusiasm and can't make nor new world, nor new plant.

5:33 to be fair all of these already kinda exist in pvz2. Cattail is basically homing thistle, cob cannon is banana launcher and even gloom shroom is there in the form of phat beeth (although it's much weaker)

I personaly wouldn't mind Umbrella leaf being brought back if it's reworked as a general purpose anti air plant, so stuff like ambushes that drop from the sky, imp cannons, imps thrown by gargs, f-ing octo zombie and Zscorpion, catapults, super fan imps ect... Would be thrown out (or at least forced to the very back) of the lawn You could make it even more defensive by making it so that it extends it's leaves against flying zombies so they have to eat the leaves to go trough, also preventing parrots and such from stealing a plant and taking a leaf instead. There's honestly a lot of stuff you could allow umbrella leaf to protect you against, giving it degrades (for it's leaves not itself) would also prevent it from being a "plant and forget" kind of plant . But then again, if the balancing is as much of a mess than usual they will probably make it too weak or completly busted.

The problem with getting Premium Plants nowadays is they don’t make them Cost 100 Gems, they would rather want us to waste IRL from our Dad’s Barclays just to get enough seed packets for the Plant. Please do not ever defend this method of obtaining plants.

Considering what they did to ice-shroom, literally any plant could be added. Flower pot could be a vine-like plant that would boost plants on top of it in some way. Plantern could boost plants around it, or even become a sun producer. Gold-shroom could be a more powerful magnet-shroom that could take away more items from zombies (like the shovel). Ubrella leaf already could counter some of existing zombies, like octopus or lost pilot. Coffee bean could just speed up or power up plants. And probably would have the secondary function of waking up sleeping plants like coconut cannon or spring bean or restoring defensive plants like chard guard.

Flower pot would probably work as a mini wall plant that you can place, where unlike PVZ1 the zombies eat the pot first then the plant fall on the ground, Umbrella Leaf could be used to block certain stuff like for example the bones of the Tomb Zombie in AE, 1, Octo zombie in BWB, Swashbuckler zombies in PS and etc, Coffee bean would probably be used as a buff plant that boost attack or speed, Plantern i personally like to imagine it could become a wall plant that also produces suns kinda like a peanut but for sun, but it also could become a different type of buff plant like making sun producers around it give more sun or something.

Popcap had to change MGP both visually and mechanically to make it fully different from it's Chinese counterpart in order to avoid rhe copyright stuff

disagree with your predictions. 1. gloom shroom: gloom shroom is already in the game thanks to gloom vine, not much has even changed from the original. 2. gold magnet: maybe a rework? idk what would they do with it though. 3. plantern: i think they will get in as reworked plants, remember most plants today are getting in with the arena in mine, i personally see plantern turning into sun plant that will make every plant in it's 3x3 radius (itself included) to essentially be under a gold leaf. 4. coffee bean: similar situation as plantern, instead of making it wake up mushrooms, it would boost the effectiveness of a plant om the field. (think a competitor to power lily) 5. flower pot: i think flower pot can still exist as is, even if it's uses are currently limited, all they need to do is justify it is to allow flower pot to be placed on scorched tiles that no other plant can be placed on. 6. umbrella leaf: this one does have the lowest chance of appearing but don't count on it not being reworked so hard it's unrecognizable, my best idea of what a reworked umbrella leaf could do is to make it a shadow plant that competes with moon flower, maybe it would have a larger shade area, maybe it will stack with moon flower to boost shadow plants without the shadow boost.

I feel like a neat way cob cannon could be added to pvz2 is to change the following -make it similar to coconut cannon (tap to fire, powerful projectile) -instead of one cannonball, it could shoot 3 smaller projectiles down its lane, the one above, and the one below -each one could do around half as much damage as coconut cannon's projectile, with 1x1 splash -change its name to shuck shot, so that it is a play on words. (Shuck because, well, it's corn. And shot because it makes it sound like scattershot. This would also make it 2 references to the Garden Warfare games) -and for plant-food, it could just shoot 3 more powerful projectiles, which have splash 2 tiles long instead of 1 I know it changes him alot, but I think it would be an extremely cool way to add him into pvz2. Maybe he could be unlocked in pirate seas, with coconut cannon. (Except definitely not. Ea/Popcap probably won't update the story worlds) Please tell me if I made any grammar mistakes!

Ideas for your WONT COME BACK plants: Plantern - Buffs plants nearby, or could act as a reverse shadow plant? Buffing a new set of light plants? Coffee Bean - Plant ontop of another plant to boost its attack speed for a short time, or activates a plants death effect without killing them? Flower Pot - Plants on this can be moved around the lawn & relocated Umbrella Leaf - Protects from Far Future Imp Swarms & Garg Thrown imps, Swinging Pirates, Pterodactyl Zombies, Miner Zombies? OR If a zombie gets too close in a 3x3 radius, bounces them back 5 tiles like Chard-guard and disappears like an instant? Just for fun: Gold Magnet - If it grabs a coin, it gives sun in exchange. 10 coins = 25 Sun k

Umbrella Leaf also can block lobbed zombie projectiles. (Basketball zombie in PVZ1 for example). I feel that umbrella leaf would be even stronger in PVZ2, given the enemy variety. Maybe they could even block off thrown zombies! Just a thought

Funniest part is that Flower Pot is in the Chinese edition as well as the original Zomboss mech, and I'm pretty sure that event is the only time the Flower Pot is used in that version

I do agree with a large amount of points you bring up but one thing i honestly disagree with is that these plants should stay the same as they were in Pvz1. That would overall make all of them a lot worse. Think back to Snow Pea, Chomper and Torchwood before they got buffs. All of them were not very good plants until they got the buffs they needed to keep up with the games increasing power level. Pvz1 and Pvz2 have such a different power level that you can't really carbon copy and paste a plant from that game into this one. For example, Ice Shroom and Doom Shroom. If iceshroom was the same, Nobody would ever use it because Ice Bloom is right there and is strictly a better choice and for Doomshroom it would make most other explosive plants redundant. Imo I like the rework for iceshroom. Now yes it is definitely way too overpowered but it does something unique. If they kept plants the same, Mega Gatling Pea probably wouldn't be in the game because it would clash with the Chinese versions Gatling Pea (And just to tell people now, Plantern, Coffee bean, Flower Pot, Cattail, and Cob Cannon are also in the chiense version and probably won't be in pvz2 unless they get a rework similar to Mega Gatling Pea) So while we may want them to act how they did in Pvz1, Popcap most likely changes them because they would either be too underpowered or overpowered. (They havent done a good job at all but at least there was an attempt) But it's just my opinion at the end of the day, Your video is still definitely very good.

Ngl I unironically consider gold magnet a goat in PvZ mobile specifically becuase on endless mode the entire lawn will be flooded with coins which will block any cob cannon shots or instas you try to place. You can get around this by dragging but I find double tapping much more comfortable and faster

In the chinese version, Gatling Pea (Yes the actual Gatling Pea not Mega Gatling Pea), Cob Cannon, Cattail, Plantern, Coffee Bean and Flower Pot work the same as the their pvz 1 counterparts also Plantern, Coffee Bean and Flower Pot aren't coming to the International Version of Pvz 2. Gatling Pea does the same thing that is shoot 4 peas at a fast pace but with it plant food it shoots many peas above and below it lanes. Cattail is just a better Homing Thistle that her thorn have a chance to stun and having a very small chance to launch a huge missile that deal a large amount of damage, her plant food she blast a beam to the closest zombie near the end of the lawn and you don't need lily pad to plant her. Cob Cannon is still the only plant that takes 2 tiles and requires kernel pult to plant, he does the same thing but with a slower recharge and his plant food launch a cob that shoots kernals. Plantern does the same thing that is to reveal fog tiles that are in Memory Lane, he also reveal Bandit Zombie that go invisible when entering the lawn in Dark Ages. When using the plant food he will light up the lawn for 30 seconds revealing anything. Coffee Bean still wake up plants that are put to sleep by Arch Mage Zombie since Mushroom doesn't sleep in the day, he also gives plants a small attack boost. Flower Pot is still Flower Pot and can be planted only on Roof Levels that are in Memory Lane

There’s a pvz 2 mod That I think goes about adding pvz 1 plants in a unique and interesting way It’s called pvz gardendless Not only does it add pvz 1 plants but it also completely overhauls the entire game

4:31 to be fair, the only excuse gatling pea has here, that the name and the design was changed soo much, is because Gatling Pea already exists in China version of PVZ 2, and they cant reuse content from the chinesse version. So IF Cob Cannon, Cattail, Flower Pot, Coffee Bean and Plantern will ever be added to international, their names are probably gonna start with MEGA aswell, since those plants are in the chinesse version.

The problem is that most of the pvz1 plants are underpowered or outclassed in the pvz2 meta. There's no night, fog or roof systems and instead the enemies themselves are the challenge, this makes plants like scaredy shroom and coffe bean obsolete . There are some exceptions like mega gatling pea (who in my opinion is better than the pvz1 counterpart in its own game) , ice shroom Torchwood etc. But plants like banana outclass cob cannon (banana has better dps and space efficiency) . Plants like sea shroom could work, but the lack of proper water environments and seed package holds it buck.

The Main Problem is that they aren’t as useful as the rest of the Plants or Their Function was taken over by another. There’s no use of Ice Shroom because of Iceberg lettuce or Ice Bloom, so they literally made him a better version of Pokra, The Best Plant in the game.

I think pvz2c did a lot of things good and bad. But one thing is that they made the pvz1 plants really well, without them being ridiculously op *cough cough* mega Gatling pea *cough cough* They made Gatling pea (which is pretty good tbh) They made plantern (he reveals bandit zombies) They made cob cannon (though hes bad) And cattail (pretty good) I recommend watching Flag Zombie’s overanalizing series, they even readded digger

the reason that scaredy-shroom has different eyes than puff-shroom is because scaredy-shroom is schizophrenic (or just has a lot of anxiety and fear) for pvz2 flower pot i have an idea: what if it serves to plant on scorched tiles?

6:13 it true they likely not appear again cus thier gimmic is already been use up or no longer there like how there 0 sleeping plant but to me i feel like they still have chance consider there alot of way to use em as we see in some fan game like: coffee bean instead of waking plant up they boost em to make em do stuff faster umbrellla leaf is.. another thing there someone make em reflect the peas from zombotony in some fan game since they bring back old plant from pvz 1 why would that also not mean that they not gonna bring back pvz 1 zombie too like the basketball thrower thingy and finally planten there alot of thing that plantern can do consider our iceshrrom now have the 3x3 area effect planten in pvz 1 have like the light aura (not the light effect that fut the fog out) there have protenctial that it can be or do something

1:23 Scaredy shroom always had different spots from puff shroom and had a slightly darker purple shade. But yeah, the "body's" color should be the same but isn't, the eyes are weird, the style doesn't match with the rest of the plants and the design is just generally weird All these plants being addes are just usually pointless and I just hate them. Scaredy shroom just looks ugly and there's no readon for it to exist unless it was on dark ages (it isn't 🤷🏻‍♂️). They made ice bloom because ice shroom would only make sense in a night world but ended up not making into the game and then later they decide to add it for no reason (they avoided adding it in the first place) so they just gave him a random mechanic. Doom shroom is the same thing as ice shroom, it was added as boom balloon flower's plant food and then they add it for no reason. Sea shroom is the same as scaredy shroom except that it wouldn't even work on dark ages so. And mega gatling pea is just stupid, the unnecessary name change and unnecessary broken ability make me mad and it just makes pea pod pointless after plant food (and I believe pea pod was a way they found to kind of add gatling pea to the game in a way that it would fit better)
