I’m really quite amazed how toned down the colorful layers daily duo seems! Day to day there isn’t much color. It’s seems bare almost. I’m a huge flower power fan and ordered that in horizontal 💜 I’m so excited! Great video, Laken!

The Flower Power is way prettier than I was expecting! The quote pages and monthly views are especially beautiful, and I love the font! I thought I'd be getting the layers, but now the floral is on the table so now I have no clue what to get! I'm definitely getting a vertical planner, layers washi, stickers, sticky notes, and a notepad!

I’m living for the dailies. I’ve waited years for this! I actually love that Saturday and Sunday aren’t huge- and I also work Saturdays- but I feel like I’ll just use the Monday that I’m off for Saturday- I wouldn’t want them in a quarter personally! I was dead set on not buying a weekly planner and instead getting a monthly because I didn't stick with it last year (pre-pandemic - I'm not counting planning once the world turned over). Now I'm thinking about using it for mental/physical health tracking, self care, etc. I figure I can always transition how I use it once grad school starts again in the fall. It's so hard choosing between the flower power and the colorful layers!! I wish I had the money to get both so I could use one theme for one half of the year and the other theme for the second half.

That's exactly what I need! I want neutral weekly spreads and colorful everything else. I'm having such a hard time picking a planner for that very reason. If the colorful didn't have those header blocks or the shading on the bottom, it would be perfect. I'd even like the weekly spreads way better if they'd just cut out the shading.

I have a 6 month daily from Plum Paper Planner and they have Saturday and Sunday as their own pages which only adds 26 extra pages per 6 months. Originally I used the EC petite daily but my weekends are sometimes more busy than my weekdays so I switched to Plum Paper and I would never go back to an EC daily even with a coil bound option. I do love the two themes for this launch though.

I'm such a dork! As soon as I saw that the 6 or 12 boxes were color coded to the months instead of rainbow order...thrilled! I am team Daily Duo all the way, and HOLY OMG the price! I was prepared to pay $80. I'm shook. Totally perplexed about the 8 months at-a-glance page, but I actually like the mini calendar on the daily layout. I have missed that on my current setup. The little blank next to it is a great spot to put a decorative sticker without stealing productive space. The icing? Double the sticker pages. I an THERE first thing launch day!

Thanks for showing the double-ended pens in detail. Totally hear you on the width of the highlighters, but on the other hand, it's proportionate to smaller handwriting and smaller spaces (like the PetitePlanner). Yeah, super fiddly with all the things but I figure I could make a decision on four colors for a spread (like, four tips max on two barrels) and actually fiddle less than I already do with all the pens of my current desk. : -) Love your videos. I honestly expected to not like the floral but oh my gosh. I think I love it. Not vibing with the cover but love the insides and how colorful it is. The layers colorful is a bit too neutral for my taste and I wasn't wild about the layers in general. But I think I'm going to go with the flower power and get a different cover for it that isn't as loud. Loved the video thank you so much. Also, could you share (here, instagram wherever) the corner designs on the weekly spread for each month. I'm just curious about what they look like as the months change.

Sorry for asking obvious question the Daily Duo is going to be my first EC planner! I know you said this before - but what pen do you prefer for the EC and the EC stickers! I agree with Jennifer, the stickers can be a little slick so felt tip pens like flairs don't work. However on the paper, the grit makes every pen feel great! I love the TUL pens and the papermate flairs!

Thank you so much for your thorough review! I love the daily but am disappointed Sat and Sun share a page. Wouldn’t it have taken only approx 13 extra sheets per book to have Sat and Sun have their own pages (52 weeks per year, so 26 per 6 month book, and the pages are double sided already so about 13 extra sheets)? Would it have been too thick to coil with just 13 extra pages per book? Maybe I’m not calculating it correctly. I just love the daily coiled but am bummed that so many planners assume that people need less space on sat/sun as many people work on the weekends or have a lot we still need to get done on weekends

I wish I knew the right answer, but my thought is they want the days of the week to consistently be on the same side of the coil. So if they did Saturday and Sunday separately, there would have to be a "weekly" notes page or something to fill in that other half of a page, which would make it way too thick. Maybe something they'll look into in the future though!

I just checked and I think they are just random flowers! There's a few that look similar, but then some that look nothing like it.

I'm a colourful vertical layers for sure! However the daily duo would be great fro work. Right now my plan is to order the vertical and then use the 20% coupon for the duo which will bring down the cost to equal that of the vertical. Sounds like a plan to me...lol

Thanks again for staying up past your bedtime for this. I loved dot grid pages! 😭😭😭😭😭 that's the only think I'm gonna miss. I used the full dot grid each month as a habit tracker. I think I might like the daily but will I be able to buy the second 1/2 of 2021 on it's own? Because if I buy now I won't need the 1st 1/2 of 2021 again. 😫

@@PlanwithLaken Erin clarified last night on her live that the Daily Duo will also be available to purchase for the Jan 2021 - Dec 2021 months. So there are 2 options,. July 2020 - Jun 2021 and January 2021 - December 2021.
