Hello! I have an LG plasma tv (60PA6500-UG) that began power cycling and then now won't turn on at all. When it is plugged in, you can see it has power because the screen has some dull light and there are LED lights that are turned on but the TV won't turn on and show that it is receiving any kind of signal. We removed the back panel and looked at the boards and see no visible problems with any of the fuses and capacitors. Any ideas? :(

I have a Samsung hp-t4254 serial number b3373cepc01515m it chimes like it powers up but there is no video. none of the buttons work. Hi, My tv model is pn64e533d2fxza and the problem is that after it's on for a few minutes it shuts down ,try's to come back on multiple times and sometimes does, and sometimes just the sound will come back and it will stay like that .There is no popping sound at all .I didn't see any swollen capacitors or burnt marks and the fuses are ok .I'm kinda thinking the power supply board and or the main board. please let me know what you think. Hello shop Jimmy, I watched some of your youtube videos for help. I have a panasonic 50 plasma tv, (model no. is tc-p50x3) (Serial No. is MB10950029) (power rating120v 50/60 hz) My tv will not turn on. No lights or nothing. I do hear a small faint buzzing sound when i plug it in tho. Last year we had storm and lighting hit real close to our house and blew the tv out while i was watching it. I did have it plugged into a nice surge protector but that didnt seem to help. I took the panel of the back of tv and it didnt seem to be any burn marks. I was hoping the fuses where blown but i cant really tell since they are soddered on and cant see into them. they seem to be ok i believe. Im not sure if i need to replace the power board or just scrap the tv. any ideas. thank you

Chris carlson This sounds like a TV panel (TV Screen) problem. If your TV panel is bad, it may be more cost-effective to replace the TV as panels are typically hard to find in stock, difficult to replace, and expensive. Hey Jimmy, I have an LG 50PN6500 and the screen turns off randomly. When it turns off, there is not the typical relay click. The panel seems to be in a type of standby but not fully off. There is no sound and the power light is a solid red, but it never clicks off. I cannot turn it back on with the remote or hard button. I must wait for it to come back on by itself - usually about 3 minutes. It will automatically turn itself back on after I wait. I have done a full reset using the menu but it didn't help. Sometimes it stays on for hours but sometimes it can only stay on for about 10 minutes. It ofter turns off when I press the menu button or change channels. I bought the TV from a guy on Craigslist and he swears it never had a problem before I transported it, but its notable that it may have happened in the process. Please help, I'd like to know what board is most likely causing this.

I have a 50" LG plsma TV,model 50PJ350R.There is no video or audio,even i do not see the TV tries to prime the plsma screen.Voltages in the Main,Y Sus and Z Sus power supply boards are correct.Any idea where should I check further there is no short circuited MOSFETs in any of the boards or any blown fuses or capacitors , found-Only one or two right most COFs out of 16 COFs getting heated quickly and makes the entire heatsink panel at the bottom hot very quickly Please guide me.

I have a panasonic TC-P50G10 from Oct. 2009. While I was playing video games I heard a "pop" sound and the TV turned off. The Power-On light was turning on and off without the TV actually turning on. I disconnected and reconnected the TV to try to turn it on, but it didn't....not even the Power-On LED/light. Do you think it is a fuse or power supply issue?

I have an LG 60PA6500 and I went to turn the tv on one day and nothing happened. The red standby light wasn't on either. I opened the back of the computer up, checked the PSU and it is working properly. Once I disconnected the main board the tv relay clicked and the tv appeared to be running (screen wasn't on and obviously no sound). We had a severe storm come through with lightning, not sure if the tv caught a surge through the HDMI cables or not. How can I check the main board? Worth buying a new main board or attempting to repair? Thank you in advance!

Hi ShopJimmy! My LG 60PZ550-UA has been shutting off after approx 20min of use. It will standby fine and turn on or off regularly. The main control board may have some issues, as 1 HDMI port does not work. Would the power supply or main board be the culprit?

Hello there, I have a pioneer pro-111fd with very loud buzzing from the rear of the panel. My research has lead me to suspect that the power supply may be the issue. I understand that buzzing is inherent in plasma displays, however this is what I would consider to be abnormal and is very loud and annoying. It seems you are out the power supply board for this particular model. Would would you suggest I do?

Hey! Need help with our samsung pn51e530a3f. We had been getting some flickering in our picture. I changed it to energy saving settings and it seemed to happen less often. Then one day it made a loud "pop pop" and shut off. And will not turn back on. The sleep light just comes on once every 5 sec or so. Any help you can offer would be great. The only repair places near by have horrible reviews. If possible I'd like to fix it my self.

Pretty sure it’s plasma, and it still makes an audio cue when turning on and off via remote. If it has a back light, it doesn’t turn on. A couple buttons are lit in the back panel when I took off the cover. Any suggestions would be appreciated

Watching your above video, sounds like if we replace and it blows immediately, is a power supply issue, and out of my ability to repair. Hi. I have a LG model: 60PK750-UA, serial: 003RMFP4S827A few days ago the screen went black while I was watching it. The power indicator on the tv is still lit red - stand-by. When I hit the power button the indicator turns blue (the color it normally was when tv was on). The screen lightens a little and there is no picture or sound. I have a panasonic TC-P42X60. Awhile back lighting had struck a tree about 500ft away from my parents home and ever since then the hdmi ports do not work. Within the last few weeks the tv has been overheating and shutting down and takes awhile before it will let it turn back on. I had remover the main and power supply boards nothing seems like it got hit by lighting but one capasitor on The power supply is bubbled and the bottom side look like it got severly hot. The main board like fine (but im new at this). What id like to know if possible would it be quicler and safert to just replace the board or take em in and have them repaied

I have a Pioneer pro-1150hd. i have replace the voltage regulator board and it worked fine for a few days but the flashing blue light is back. After watching your videos I think it could be the power supply.The tv will not power up sometimes but if I unplug it and plug it back in after a half hour it works fine temporarily.Does this sound symptomatic of the power supply board?

I have a 60" LG plasma tv. Model: 60PB5600. A few seconds after powering on, the screen lights up a light grey color for just a second, then goes black. When the issue arose, there was a small flash of light, and a small plume of smoke from behind the unit. With all the research I have done, I'm thinking its the YSUS board, but I really don't know. There are no visible signs of swollen capacitors or burn marks of any kind anywhere on the boards. I would really like to just find the replacement board kit, but not having any luck finding one. I have a Panasonic model TC-P50ST30 Serial MA11820170 Date July 2011. The screen is blank and no sound. The power light is solid red. I tried unplugging it and plugging it back without any difference. I opened the back cover and tested the five fuses...they are good. Visually the capacitors do not seem bad though I did not test them. What do you recommend as the most likely fault? I appreciate any suggestions.

Hi! I have a very similar board to this vid and it literally went ‘pop’ a couple of minutes after power up today. Upon inspection, the green MOV/varistor looking thing to the right of the shielding where the mains c13 socket is was cracked in half! What would cause this and is the fix simply replacing it? It reads just under 5ohms even though cracked in half!

Hi, i have the same model. The tv is clicking once and shut off. I had follow your informations by remove each cable from the main board, the result by pluging back the cable is the logic board (HDMI video card) causing the clicking. Is it a common issue that board may cause the clicking? Thanks.

Samsung PN58C500G2FXZA. Blowing both fuses on the power supply board closest to the AC input connection. Replaced fuses, applied power the reconnected each harness until fuses blew again. They didn't blow until the last connection was made, which runs to the main board (board with the HDMI inputs). Is it safe to say the main board is causing the problem? FYI this TV was experiencing the notorious pink banding for years, up until this week when it just shut off. The home circuit breaker this TV was being powered by also popped.

My 43 inch Samsung Plasma (PN43F4500AFXZA) just had the power supply fail from the looks of it. I heard two loud firecracker pop's and the screen went dead. I did not smell anything burning, but the back of the TV was quite warm, perhaps unusually so. This isn't my main TV, but I do love it and would hate to switch it out for an inferior LED. Do you have parts to repair this? I would imagine the entire power supply board would be the easiest for a layman like me.

Hi, I have a Vizio VP50 HDTV20A. I have sound, but no picture. It is completely black. I just had it repaired for the same issue 11months ago. According to the receipt, he replaced the Upper Board and repaired the Y Board. I read that if the tv doesn't have a cooling component that it will overheat if used for a long time and melt some of the main board. Is that true? I had the tv on all day yesterday. Hi, Samsung hp-R5052. made 2005. Comes on, displays black and pinkish pixels, shuts off in a couple of min. no cycling. Fuses and coaps. look good. Power to boards ok. I am not a tech and would gladly replace the proper board. Any help is appreciated. Maybe other videos? Is this model worth the work?

Hi! I have a samsung plasma tv PS64F8505ST (the last plasma of their high end tv models/ 2013 European model) I would apreciatie the help from you about my issue. Last year i replaced the Y-susboard due to no picture. This time my tv turns of about after 30-90 minutes. Everything just shuts of, even the led light. Cant turn on the tv with my remote even after i replugg the cord to the outlet. I thought the problem sat at the X-sus board. I tried switching to another x-sus board but the tv wont even turn on or show any picture. The power board starts to "clicking" instead so i unplugged the x-sus board from the powersupply and the "clicking" sound went away. When i switched back the old x-sus board it worked fine without any clicking sound from the powersupply but the tv starts to turn of again after 30-90 minutes. I had the powersupply get a light inspection (just looking after any visible faults) but the guy said that he didnt se any problem with the board. What do you reccomend me to do next? Best regards

I have a Samsung hp-t5054 plasma tv screen goes from black to gray when turned on. now it shows blury blob image left side bottom. all voltages on power supply good, on point. when I remove bottom buffer top half of screen is dark gray when I turn the tv on. put the bottom buffer back in and I get same blurry blob bottom left about 5"high the rest is dark. sound is fine looking for a y main for replacement. don't want to spend the $150..for one (LJ41-05120A). no fuses have ever blown on any board had upper buffer repaired, sent it out, tested bad. both upper and lower buffers test ok no shorts. replaced the 680uf @25 volts under heat sink @ green fuse right side, that is when I got the image at bottom left of screen. I sure need a little help here got any ideas? could the panel be bad? I tapped the screen top left corner when it was on and dark gray, that area went to a black blob, with ragged edges. turned tv off then back on the blob was gone all dark gray half top half of screen, no image ,no video just dark gray top half.

I have a 60" LG Plasma (60PA6500) that is about 4.5 years old and just 6mo out of warranty. About 3 weeks ago the TV started to act strange and began to stop recognizing signals on the HDMI inputs (would just display "No Input" even when the device was providing one). I was able to usually get it to work by switching the hdmi cable to another input and then switching to that input on the TV. However, just yesterday, the picture seems to have died completely. We get sound, but just a black screen. I'd like to repair myself if possible, and am interested in troubleshooting tips so I can order the correct parts. Thanks.
