Plasmodesmata structure and function- This lecture explains about the plasmodesmata structure function role in cell communication in details.
Plasmodesmata are narrow channels that act as intercellular cytoplasmic bridges to facilitate communication and transport of materials between plant cells.
This video lecture will help you to understand the structure and functions of plasmodesmata in plants.

Sir, thank you for explaining so clear but i have some doubt that is plasmodesma an organelle? and also my book mentions that plasmodesmata as a"cytoplasmic thread", so is it the linkage made of cytoplasmic fluid or just the pores that allows subtances to pass through? Would be much grateful if you can answer me!!!

Plasmodesmata are cell organelles. They are cylindrical structures which transverses through cell walls and serves as cytoplasmic channels to pass signals from cell to cell.

Nice explanation! One thing at the end need to be corrected - Desmotubules are appressed ER threads and they are tightly appressed to leave no space in the lumen. So there's no space available within desmotubule to pass signals. All signals ranging from small to large molecules pass through cytoplasmic sleeve itself. Cytoplasmic sleeve is large enough to allow large molecules like proteins and RNAs besides small molecules. Regards
