Sir ...pectin is not heteropolysachharide ..it's a homopolysechharide having a alpha-D galaturonic acid as monomers...it's also known as polygalacturonic acid..!!😊 by the way amazing lesson..thanks a lot..!!😊🙏🙏

The stability and hardness of wood comes not so much from the cellulose in the secondary cell wall. Herbal plants also have cells with secondary cell walls but they aren't nearly as hard. What is special for wood are tertiary cell walls in xylem cells. The cell wall incrustinates a molecule called liqnin and the protoplast itself dies off.
