Bonjour Phil ! Thank you very much for the inspiration, though I wouldn't take my scenery advice as expert..LOL. But I do enjoy it a lot more than I thought I would and I look forward to building the new layout and getting better at scenery. I'm glad you enjoy the videos and get something from them . CHeers Gregg .

Love how you are carving, it looks great. The coloring is difficult, trust me, I have been going with lighter colors just because the lighting is not the best. Unfortunately the darker I paint the rock work, the less you can see the details. Having a shelf layout, it’s hard to have a vast space to landscape. Hopefully the new layout you are building, will have some great lighting. Again Gregg, wonderful job, unfortunately we will never see the finished product of the current layout. Cheers from Hot and humid Nebraska, Terry.

Thanks very much Terry! The lighting does make a big difference , but black or dark grey washes make a big difference, which I hope to show in the next video. I am thinking about lighting for the new layout and have tried a few ideas which I will work on in the future. I will try and take most of the scenery with me in some form . Cheers Gregg.

Dear Gregg, cool vid! Don’t know what kind of plaster you’ve used, but the type of plaster can indeed influence the way it absorbs color. From the looks of your mixture it seems rather moist. Not saying that’s not a good thing. But that too may be a factor in how the plaster takes pigment. Combined of course with the relative humidity percentage at the time you put the plaster on. The amount of water added to the plaster will influence the drying time. Don’t think the coloring should be a problem though. You may just wanna try some stronger pigmented washes to get this rock face to your liking. Looking forward to seeing the next results. Cheerio

That must be true VInce, as I did put the colour on the day after, but it can take a while for the Sculpt it mix to dry, so I'll wait a bit longer for the next try. I have such long gaps in doing scenery, I forget what I did the time before..LOL. Thanks for the tips and watching. Gregg.

Hi Gregg just got a new phone try to a handle on it. The colour you could be looking for is Tamyias flat flesh this is the colour that brings it all together my reference is from Boomer diorama's sorry l have got number for that colour as all my stuff is packed up for the big move . The rock work looks really good nice contrast and shade, it all take practice and playing around with colours Have fun!

Starting to get a bit pi@#$d off now , as I want to stop work , but don't want to sit here waiting ?. Just got back from a week in Stirling and miss it already, so I'll be push things a bit harder from now on. Hope you get to lock up soon. Cheers Gregg.

Hey Gregg. Great video. I was curious, but is it cheaper and more reliable to travel around Melbourne on the trams or the elevated electric trains in the background? Are the prices for tickets for the trams and the trains the same between different routes or do they vary? Also, are there any updates regarding the sister channel yet? Cheers, Joe.
