Here in Alberta Canada, we are told we can recycle stretchable plastic bags only and not the other types. Yet there are a lot of plastic bags that are not stretchable e. g. Produce bags, online shopping bags etc. it is such a waste and I have been collecting them but don’t know what to do. I don’t have the time to make them into tote bags, mats etc. I just try to use them when I donate stuff to local charity. Any idea out there?

Can the composite wood be recycled if that needed to happen? I also wonder what kind of polllution the processing plant makes. I still think this is better than all that plastic going to the landfill or ocean but I have my concerns.

Like the video says recycling flexible plastic products is a cultural change. Recycling plastic bags is a much better idea than simply banning them.

The point not fully understood about this, is that embracing the conversion of city waste plastics into composite lumber products, means more trees stay in forests, resulting in a double win for the planet.

Recycling plastic bags to make composite lumber does not do anything the composite lumber eventually ends up in the landfill. It is a temporary fix to a long-term problem. Plus plastic composite decking is 1/3 as sturdy as wood very flexible when you're walking on it just saying.

They do not show the actual processing into plastic pellets because they just ship them off to some poor country where it is actually dumped into a landfill, or burned.

What was wrong with cardboard boxes and grocery stores they used to have them at every grocery store everything that comes to the grocery store comes usually in a cardboard box therefore, you would have lots of access ones to reuse
