To add to the comments, this is NOT safe. In the US and most developed countries there is a safety door that remains closed until ALL mechanical action has stopped. At that point, the person can open the door, and retrieve the part. The size of the press is approximately 1500-2500(US) tons? Rough guess judging from size of guy and size of fascia mold. What I do not understand is that you are looking at a multimillion dollar investment. Why not invest in a robot and a EOAT to remove the part? Unless they are still in prototype phase and have not cross that bridge yet. Eliminate the human element.

Maybe it’s a single cycle and cycle ends on mold open, then operator has to cycle again on HMI outside of the machine. That’s the only way I can think of to make it safe

@@pine-sol5177 Definitely sketchy. Every machine I’ve seen with hand picked parts have a safety gate. Rewatching the video that machine is still in cycle for the ejectors to stroke, seems like they just have an open dwell time long enough for them to pick the part. So much room for error

The safe way would be to let the part eject, turn off the motor, then climb inside. I wouldn’t be between the platens with the motor running.

Yeah we use EOA end of arm systems to safely remove the part, label the part, and place onto conveyer belt to present part to operator.
