If I recall or could be wrong but I believe a Plastic Man movie or show was in development for years. I also appreciate that James Gunn is adding variety to the DCU with various Genres and characters compared to Marvel. DC doesn’t need to catch up or be like Marvel they just need to be different.

I like O'Brian, he's fun without being so stupidly dumb and obnoxious as deadpool is. We're getting a lot of Batman villains in projects without the real DCU Batman 🤷🏼‍♂️ just because Reeves doesn't get his shit together and holds everything back. The DCU Batman needs to take priority immediately. You can't debut Superman in a few months and have Batman sitting on a shelve for half a decade because a dumb elseworlds project is holding everything back. Lucca Guardagnino is directing Sg Rock so i'm pretty sure i won't be as goofy as usual Gunn. And to be fair, Guardian 2 and 3 and Peacemaker already deal with pretty heavy themes despiting having some comedic tone in it. Peacemaker still gritty. And sometimes this feel more real cuz characters in Gunns universes actually react like a normal person would ( Peter Quill punching the heck of Thanos or freazing for some seconds and them blasting his father to oblivion after discovering he gave his mom a brain cancer cuz he's too chocked to react)
