We’re starting to see more and more under the hood parts made out of a blend of plastics. The two parts we're focusing on are labeled PP/PE (polypropylene and polyethylene). You have to make sure you are using the correct welding rod when doing a repair. If you're not sure which welding rod to use, you can perform a weld test, as shown in this video.
