Dude. The tone of your voice, the subtle music, and your steady, deliberate pacing all combine into this... hypnotic trifecta, which happen to be the exact ingredients needed to form the Perfect Storm of KZbin model builds.

Great! You even ditched the decals and did it your self! 🧐 I love the Fiberoptics. Really makes me wanna go and repair my old half destroyed (from playing too much as a kid) plastic models from 1990's, polish them up, repaint and put in leds! It looks just about the same except the x-folding feature is manual.🤓 Also, like the music, reminds a lot of MYST, an old old game from the early 90s.

Love the model. May I ask the specs for the LED that you replaced for the cockpit? Would like to do the same with mine, but don't know what type of LED (voltage? size) should I get? Thanks
@Plasticstarwars Жыл бұрын
Hey there, thanks for watching.😊 I lit the cockpit fiber optics with standard 3mm bulbs. I choose to go with 3v white/warm white leds because I’m not good with electronics.. This way, I can power my builds with 2 standard aa or aaa batteries without the need to solder on resistors.

They make pink or magenta LEDs? Those would work better in the engines than the red. Great job on the detailing.

So good! I just wish they’d have included magenta LEDs for the engines instead of red.
@Plasticstarwars3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yes, it would be more accurate to the colour graded look of the films if they were magenta.👍
@ILSRWY42 жыл бұрын
It actually WAS red, however color variations in the 1977 film processing techniques made it look magenta. So to be accurate to the ship, it should be red, to be accurate to the film it would be magenta.
@Habu122 жыл бұрын
@@ILSRWY4 and to the SE, since they also animated it magenta.

I like what you did with lighting the cockpit and R2 but personally I prefer the original stand as it looks stylish and conforms with the X-wing, the box just looks plain to me perhaps you could've made it into a Deathstar tile, and also not keen on the connector as it looks bulky.
