Plastic Surgeon: How I Flattened Her Tummy After Triplets!

I agree, but she is clearly an example of want, not need. She wasn't disfigured, it was fully functional, and she wasn't in any pain. But why does that matter. What matters is how happy she is and how confident. I feel like there isn't as big a divide between people who want surgeries and people who medically need surgeries. Surgery is a risk with a reward. If the risk doesn't outweigh the reward then the surgery is worth it. If getting loose skin removed makes your life better and the surgery is a small risk for you then it's worth it. If you have cancer and might die then the surgery to remove it is usually worth it. If your face was disfigured in an animal attack and you get plastic surgery to try to restore it I'd say that's worth it too depending on the individual. The only surgeries that don't make sense are ones where the risk is massive or the patient seems not to be in a mentally sound state beforehand.

Nah, I'd say it was actually need as well as want. Having loose sagging flaps of skin after weight loss can cause discomfort, chafing, dermatitis, and fungal issues.

​@@atashgallagher5139it's need, not want: excess skin in areas that often have constrictive clothing (belts, waistbands, etc) can accidentally get pinched and bits of skin can even die from blood constriction just from being pinched against more skin e.g. while you sleep. Necrotizing tissue is bad and so is gangrene. While you can just wear togas or mumus without underwear for the rest of your life, that isn't a feasible solution in places too far from the equator or otherwise too extreme temperature shifts. I don't have her problem but I have Raynaud's, which is a disease that at best is just a little annoying, and at worst will make you lose bits of your fingers, toes, and maybe even tip of the nose and nipples and so on, if left untreated. Because it makes some surface blood vessels constrict so hard without reasonable cause that there is zero blood going to your fingers and toes and so on until you manage to force blood back in there. Skin is unfortunately a lot more finnicky than you think.

I had a tummy tuck at 49. I wish I had done it sooner because it's the best decision I ever made to improve my self confidence. The surgery is definitely no joke. It took me 4 weeks to feel normal and I had to take 6 weeks off work, only because I need to lift things. Another difference is that I had a drainless tummy tuck.

I didn't have a full tummy tuck but during my open ventral hernia repair surgery, the doctor pulled the ab muscles together and removed a lot of my post pregnancies pooch. He said it would help to prevent the mesh being damaged and the recurrence of the hernias, having that weight removed.

My surgeon said I can only have a breast lift and tummy tuck if I was done having kids. My Husband had already had a vasectomy so we can’t have anymore children. You just wait until you are done having kids.

I had a tummy tuck at 55 yrs old. I am extremely happy with the results. I wished I had the money to do it at a younger age. My tummy tuck was $9,000.00, I saved for it over a year. I had 5 children and they were all over 10 pounds. I have never been over weight. My body shape is just like this lady in the video. I had tons of extra skin. I cried of happiness after my surgery. I did not need a drainage. Not everyone is a candidate for non-drainage. It is easier to heal without the drainage. It is a very long process to see the wonderful results. I am sooooooo very happy and thankful for this surgery. You need to be in very good health to have this surgery. I hope this will help many ladies who would like to have this surgery. I have Diastasis recti. It sucks. Especially since the correction is considered cosmetic. Had it for 16yrs, no amount of physio, planks or bug kicks has fixed it. I hate it. (reason I specified cosmetic is due to the fact I live in Canada and the government doesn't pay for cosmetic procedures, no matter how beneficial to the pts physical health)

Weightloss is a slow process. Be consistent and you'll see results. Look up girls gone strong for an separation friendly workouts. I study through them (I'm a personal trainer and sports nutritionist) and their content is amazing! I too had an separation. With consistency it will improve. ❤

I think that my Hernia surgery needs to remove cause I can feel pressure around the right side of my Groin. I want to get a few things done then visit my Surgeon for a repair. I had an appointment for a consultation with Dr.Youn in September of 2022, but I couldn’t afford the plan trip up there so sadly I had to cancel my appointment and will just deal with my c section belly.

Two fears of mine are 1. Blood clots: they say they appear in the leg, and that it is deadly. 2. If under for too long the effect can cause a heart attack or stroke. How does one reduce these situations?
