Back after a tiring day at work. I was sitting in my kitchen eating sandwich spread with an ice cold Pepsi. Looking at the sky through the window as the clouds slowly floating away I was listening to Evil Line by Coaltar of the Deepers. When I was about to press Replay I saw this song on the recommendations. I was hesitant to play it as today is the 13th of Friday and the song is of the same name :D. I gotta say I did not regret clicking it. What I am feeling right now listening to this song, eating sandwich and watching the clouds through the window as they freely float away up above the sky. I start to reminisce about how I fucked up my life. This song fits how I feel perfectly as of this moment :)... Good Music~

i love this song and pv more than words can describe, but, and please don't eat my head, i think this pv is almost too Ryutaro-centric. yes, he is absolutely gorgeous and an awesome musician, but so are the other members. i just hope that people won't forget that. ....i really hope that you don't take this as i wouldn't like him, it's just that some people seem to think that Plastic Tree is a one-man-band. Pura wouldn't be Pura without Tadashi, Akira, Kenken or Ryutaro.

Plastic Tree is SO amazing. Something about the chord structure or progression with Ryutaro's haunting voice! The first time I heard them was a couple years ago when I downloaded Makka na Ito. It was about 1 in the morning and I was dead tired and I actually started crying, just because it was so beautiful, and that VOICE sounded like a gift from heaven. Anyway, I LOVE this video! The editing is amazing!

I'm still amazed at the fact that the whole song was sung in English. His accent quite thick (I'm pretty sure that my Japenglish accent would be dreadful), but I think the unsure vocals of the song adds to the song's meaning: uncertainty if a person you care about will become a different person, crushing the illusion you had of said person.

True, but bands do regularly tend to focus on the vocalists in general anyway. It's something that I feel isn't as prominent in japanese bands but it still kind of like a habit. Hopefully that does change. It is a band, as in there's not just one person right? lol

This song and PV were made to promote their album ammonite, right? And that album was released April 4th. Because I just realized that the album was released on the thirteenth Friday of 2011. I'm pretty sure it's a coincidence, but I find that cool.
