Haha, I just did this yesterday on my XTerra but with Back to black. The ceramic should last a long time!!!! I’ve used Avalon King coating on my Outlander paint. Great stuff!!!

Hey that's good to know! I didn't buy this specifically for this project. I bought it to ceramic coat my motorcycle helmet but that obviously didn't use up a lot.

I have this same Xterra, except its yellow. Once I get the cats replaced, gonna try this. Awesome work and thank you!

Ohhh man the cats sucked.. make sure you get OEM and if you can, try to do it yourself. I paid $2.5k for a shop to do it 3 years ago and now the ses is randomly coming up for a p0420. Check out Ry the car guy's transmission removal video from back in the day... It will help out a ton

Hey glad I could help! Btw you can use any ceramic coat product of your choice. I used this one because I already had it 👍

That came out real good, I was always wondering about it how well would it do on plastic
@_moes_garage_ Жыл бұрын
Thanks! But I'm not sure how long it will last. Seems like everyone that has tried to restore them, ended up painting them with bed liner 🤷♂️ Only time will tell.

@@_moes_garage_ That is very true... it was my other question in mind as to how long would it last.. ? lol
@_moes_garage_ Жыл бұрын
I picked up the method from one of chrisfix's videos.. he said it should last about two years but knows. I think the smooth plastics might not last as long compared to the textured ones. Seems like the textured ones might hold the ceramic better
@Kenny-bj2zq Жыл бұрын
Nice Vid going to buy it and do this on my Xterra
@_moes_garage_ Жыл бұрын
Thanks! Although I didn't buy this ceramic coat for specifically for the plastics. I bought it to coat my motorcycle helmet so it would be easier to clean 🤣 I saw Chrisfix use it on his plastics, so that's why I decided to try it on the xterra's plastics.

My back corner plastics were crushed in when I bought my 2006 xterra like the previous owner didn't know how to back up a trailer and jack knifed it on both sides. Looks like hell from the back. I have so many other problems with it. I've had electric problems. Replaced all sorts of things (ipdm box, broken terminals, sensors) now just ordered the oil pressure sensor because I'll be at a stop and the oil gauge drops all the way to nothing and stalls the engine constantly 😑.
@_moes_garage_3 ай бұрын
Awe man that sucks, I've also had electronic issues but none that will stall the engine (except for the crank sensor thing.)

Pretty good, actually. I did a 1 year review and it doesn't look as good as when I first applied the ceramic coat, but wayyy better than with out it! 👍

How about on the interior Dash door panels Etc

Great question. I wouldn't use it on interior plastics. It'll feel too slick imo. But if you try it, post a video so we can see 👍

Not yet. It's supposed to last around 1-2 years. I'll be doing a one year review later on. Right now it still looks good but I'm not sure how much it's faded since new.
