5:23 In my honest opinion Fleet is in a weird place to where she now has to work extremely hard not only in neutral, but when trying to kill. They stripped away SO MUCH that she just ends up in this awkward space to where she just... doesn't feel good to use against good players. Her worst mu Clairen which I thought could be done although hard, might just be literally unplayable now and other disjointed characters can more easily showcase why she doesn't do too well in neutral against them. She no longer feels like a rivals 2 character and feels so out of place which might sound like an over-exaggeration, but I genuinely don't see any Fleet killing BELOW 150~ if the person knows how to DI or aren't Kragg (not counting the lucky early stocks or SDs.) It feels like they put out the changes just to gather data on how players adapt to the changes which is fine, but there's literally NOTHING Fleet has that anyone else didn't do better besides edge guarding. Now her air speed and float are basically cut off which damage the one thing she was definitively good at. She's lost atm imo. Not saying she can't win anymore, but her winning majors/tourneys was EXTREMELY overglorified as one of the strongest Rivals 2 player was piloting her, everyone's advantage state wasn't as clean and updated as it is now, and people just never parried or played great neutral against her. HOLY ESSAYING I DIDN'T MEAN TO MAKE THIS THAT LONG LMFAO.

We love passion here! But yeah it’s an interesting position the devs put themselves in where the most fun thing about fleet, her movement, was also the hardest and most annoying thing to deal with against fleet. Totally agree on people just not knowing how to parry / fight fleet specifically though. Truly I think it’s hard to account for balance early in the game because most non rivals players don’t know how to parry well. But they STILL need to address things because people get frustrated. It’s also interesting cause I did think fleet WAS overtuned to begin with. So the only way out of that was to nerf her. Was it too much? Well only time will tell. I believe in the fleets to make her work! I mean heck, lox is the “worst” character in the game but them lox mains are making it work. I think the only thing I disagree with is the idea that her air speed / float are “cut off.” They did SIGNIFICANTLY reduce the air acceleration, but her top speed is untouched, so she can still zoom I would imagine, just not like zoom in and out. But I also don’t play fleet at all so I can’t really speak on that accurately. Regardless, appreciate your thoughts on this patch’s fleet!
